I know it got talked up at the time, but on reflection was it, is it really worth the time?

I thought all 7 seasons of it were great. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We only finished it about a year or so ago as we were late to it and it became our late night binge.

It's worth watching yes. If you're being given the DVDs for free you can just watch them once and then pass them on again. Some people appreciated watching through twice and noticing things 2nd time around that didn't seem important the first time but become significant after later revelations.

Yes, as long as you binge it. It won't be hard. We've watched it twice.

Although it's 7 series, it's 74 episodes so not such a lot, series are quite short, I would definitely give it a go. I loved it.

There are eight seasons, not seven, although season eight is not great. I’d definitely go for it, the first seven seasons are some of the best tv ever.

I watched the first half hour of first episode.

The dialogue - cringe making. Cliched.

It almost made me want to watch Britannia again just to have something that is just a bit out of the norm.

In fact if my memory serves me well, the first series of Vikings had some interesting dialogue.

I was quite tired and grumpy. Sorry.

It took us a couple of episodes to get into it but definitely worth persevering

I didn't get into it when it was first on, but gave it another go when it was about 5 years in and liked it after a couple of episodes. I found similar with Yellowstone

Best thing I’ve ever watched and I don’t normally like fantasy stuff. Maybe it’s just not for you not everyone will love it but I’d try and persevere for a few episodes at least.
