Anyone going to be watching the new Outlander Prequel?

I had a morning to myself so watched it. Two episodes today.

I enjoyed it and feel like you didn't have to watch Outlander to watch BOMB.

Won't put any spoilers but will say there was some surprises.

I am watching. I loved it, it gave me season 1 outlander vibes. I'm on my second rewatch now. I feel so sad for Julia and Henry especially being a new story, we don't know their end of if they ever reunite.

Love Brian and Ellen. Murtagh is just lovely. Colum and Dougal dynamics are fun to watch. Overall I think it is well cast. I just love the escapism of it all.

I really enjoyed it. Agree the casting is spot on.

Thought Brian had lots of Jamie's mannerism ( or the other way about) so Jamie Roy got it spot on.

Loved Murtagh as well, loved that Jocasta seemed to have a crush on him. She sounded just like the older Jocasta.

Casting was so well done. Julia and Claire looked so alike.

Who thinks the baby Julia is carrying is Jane and Fannys mother?

I want to believe that Faith lived and was Fanny's mother. Maybe they will make Julia's child Fergus ' mother ?

Oh I forgot this was being made, definitely want to watch it. I feel I might want to watch the last /next season of outlander first though….kind of finish that.

I wonder if Master Raymond will appear in this series?

He seemed to know who Claire was when he met her, maybe because he knew her parents?

Just watched ep 1 and am resisting watching 2
I thought it was good and really well cast

I watched the first two episodes and enjoyed it. Its very well cast - Jamie Roy and Hermione Corfield are uncannily like Sam H and Catriona B. Apparently Hermione even auditioned for the role of Brianna!

Claire's parents are what? Early 30s in this? So it seems unlikely that she'll meet them in revolutionary America as they'd be pushing 100 by then. Though when time travel is involved, who knows?

If their child is born in 1714 then that isnt quite the right age to be Jane and Fanny's mother is it?

Ultimately I guess it's going to be a very sad show as we already know none of the lead characters wind up with a happy ending

Yes, really enjoying it.
Ellen is a clever lady, I wonder how she will engineer running away with Brian.
Shocked at Julia, but can see why she is doing it. Hope Henry finds her soon.

Is no one else watching this? Its a little slow but I'm really enjoying it. Opens up all sorts of possibilities for a crossover with the main show but I can't think how that might fit in!

I'm enjoying it too. I love the ckan dynamics. Feel a little sorry for Malcom Grant, he would have made a good husband if not for Brian.

While I was glad that Julia helped Ellen be Virgo intacta, I was hoping that Brian would prove himself to be the hero that goes in guns blazing to rescue his wife and whisk her away, in the same way that Jamie rescued Claire at the witch trial.

I guess for season 1 they are character building Brian as in the first half of outlander season 1 whwre we didn't see the real Jamie until the wedding which I guess was the making of him.

Henry and Julia's reunion was so touching. You can really see that Claire gets her gumption from her mother! Jetemy Irvine has been very good in portraying a character who appears confident on the surface but has been broken underneath.

One of the main cast is dating a friend of mine and i’m now struggling as I totally fancy the character 🤣🤣🤣

Oh tell us more!! Is it Dougal? I have a thing for both Dougals, I can fix them 🤣🤣🤣

Glad I'm not the only one who fancies both Dougals! It can't be Dougal the Elder as he got married recently. But sadly IRL neither of them have Scottish accents!

Gah, they're making us wait two weeks for the finale...

Anyone else watched the final episode yet? I loved it. It brought the story together but left a cliff hanger. Poor Malcom , I didn't see that coming. I love the chemistry between Dougal and Maura. He finally met his match 🤣🤣

We watched it and really enjoyed it...seeing the younger characters makes me think I might watch the first series of Outlander again

Talk about a cliffhanger! I think a second season has been greenlit so that something to look forward to. Surely Claire will reunite with her parents at some point? They could've gone through the stones to 1765 and eventually wound up in America!

I’m only on episode 2 but adoring this. I loved the first few seasons of outlander but literally got lost in the plot of the last few series. This is like the best of it! I watch it and think what might it be like to head back in time
