i dont think they're related as such, but Patrick took them both (Denise and the annoying one) under his wing and they see him as a Father Figure now.

I think they did put some back story in somewhere, but i forget.

just looked it up. Denise thought Patrick was her Dad, but he isn't, he was in a band with 4 other men, one of whom IS Denises dad.. but Patrick knew her mother.

Patrick had an affair with Pat and was going out with Claudette too! Quite the ladies man

I do like Patrick. He had a stroke once, but that’s been forgotten about.

I think Oakie is a brilliant bad guy, and pretty well written in terms of county lines etc.

Okie is horrible. Joel today too with the chair throwing.
Such anger. I’m glad that Marie in the cafe told him where to go. ( I think her name is Marie )

Can't believe that bloke next to Marie just stood there though, watching it all and not saying a word, not even a "Oi! Mate!!"

So zoe said that she’s done something so bad that Kat would hate her just like she used to. Do we know what that might be?

No idea what Zoe’s secret is.
Jean was annoying me today! She sometimes is just really nasty to Stacey when none of it is her fault.
Wait till she discovers that Zoe was at that flat and living with her .. she’ll be worse than Kat !

Surely it can't be a coincidence that Zoe comes back from hiding place a week after Antnee shows up, right?

Also any guesses on who this mysterious caller for Julie is? A lover perhaps? She seemed to be rather odd today compared to her usual interfering self.

Max Murray is such a good find, he is streets ahead of most of the cast. I don’t know if the plan is for Joel to be long term, but if they want to keep him I think they will go the mental health route, he’ll have a break down and return reformed (a la Bobby).

I am fed up with the sight of Zoe and she hasn’t even arrived back yet. There has been such hype and smugness about her return. Jessie has been great this week though so it’ll be good to see her get more screen time. I still think Zoe and Antnee have a secret love child which Zoe abandoned - but actually, I couldn’t care less and please can Antnee and his terrible acting disappear now.

I like Oscar but this plot is beyond ridiculous. Oscar confesses, yet the detective does not want to interview him because Patrick has changed his mind. This producer sets up storylines then drives them down a cul de sac.

As for Harry and the gun. Right, you get given to gun to dispose of so you leave it out on the table and stare at it, rather than taking a brisk walk to the local canal with it. I agree Okie is a good bad guy though!

I’ll be pleased to see Zoe because the bbc will stop with the trailer for her and that flipping song !
It will be a shouting match , Jean will get all sanctimonious with Stacey ( again ) and Kat will throttle Alfie. Maybe she gave up a baby ? Will anyone really care that much 20 odd years later ? .. maybe Antnee , but I doubt most viewers will ! Especially if she is as bad as she was a few months ago with the bad acting and woe is me act!

Agree that Joel actor needs to stay on..

Did anyone see both Michelle Ryan and Jessie Wallace at the end of The One Show tonight? I must say Jessie was looking great imho and Michelle sounded so different from her EE character Zoe!

I read that she gets Nigel’s old car brought to Walford as a surprise so maybe the call was something to do with arranging that?

So Tommy finds Zoe in less than 24 hours by saying he's sick of Kat... I mean, look how easy that was Alfie 🙄

Julie really is in oblivion about Nige's diagnosis. He is going to end up getting into an accident in that car, you can just see it coming. Her precious chickens are probably going to see a quick exit

I suppose the idea is that Julie thinks if she'd been with Nigel for the past year she could have 'fixed' him with bracing walks and broccoli. Maybe he was right for leaving her...
