For me its Alice Tinker from the Vicar of Dibley. She was the standout star for me 🌟 . Also James Dreyfus in The Thin Blue Line. Funniest character by a mile. Oh and Niles in Frasier 😍

JR Ewing.
’Dallas’ was supposed to be about Pam and Bobby and was a minor hit but audience feedback showed that we wanted more JR.
And when we got it, 300 million people around the world tuned in.
My favourite ‘baddie’ rather than complete bad guy, although his misogyny would not be acceptable in 2025.
When you take a show from a few million viewers to 300 million… that’s the ultimate steal!

And Just Like That 2025 - know it’s been problematic but Anthony has stolen it. A joy to watch, delivers sharply.

Stanley Tucci in Devil wears prada.

Erica, the little sister, in Stranger Things. She's fab!

Karl Johnson(Reg, the father in law) in Mum. Goes from swearing to poignant in seconds.

Miranda Richardson - Queenie in Blackadder. Holds her own and then some, in what was a male dominated series.

Kathy Burke as Perry in Harry Enfields series. She made what could have been a one joke sketch outstanding.

Michelle Gomez in The Green Wing

Currently Cherry in Here We Go, I find her hilarious.

Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders.

I’d go with James Marsters as Spike on Buffy - he was so popular the plan to kill him had to be scrapped and wrote him in permanently.
