For me its Alice Tinker from the Vicar of Dibley. She was the standout star for me 🌟 . Also James Dreyfus in The Thin Blue Line. Funniest character by a mile. Oh and Niles in Frasier 😍

Although she's the title character, so should steal the show, I'd also nominate Joan Hickson for Miss Marple. Dithery, easy to underestimate, then - wham - she is Nemesis.

Roz and Martin in Frasier. Both brilliant actors. Such believable characters. Their reactions to Frasier's more pompous moments made the show for me.

For me, Eli Gold in The Good Wife. He had some cracking lines and delivered them perfectly.

The TV series of Watchmen was incredible all round, but totally stolen by Jeremy Irons as Ozymandias. He was obviously having such fun being totally evil and unhinged!

In Motherland, I thought Penny Ryder (Elizabeth) and David Calder (Geoff) who played the in-laws were superb. Especially when crossing the road outside the railway station and the scene in the fish restaurant.
