As I say, this is the countdown to the end, now we're in the last week of the series. I think it finishes on 4th Aug... Just over a week away.

No clear winner(s) at the moment really, quite a few unlikeable contestants, and lots of arguments and discord! I'm almost looking forward to this series ending to be honest! 😆

I’ve watched the tv drama series FAKE whilst watching Love Island. True story about deception of a man over multiple women. Some of the guys on LI are like lighter versions of the Joe Burt fantasist. The trouble this behaviour causes at all levels is staggering.

Clearly, Shakira is more Harry’s type than Helena because like Emma, she is petite with dark hair, brown eyes, olive skin etc. Perhaps for Harry, Shakira actually reminds him of a younger Emma.

But I just don’t see what she sees in him. I wonder if he is just very different to all the other men (or boys) she has dated and that is the appeal. Her behaviour over the past week or so is mind boggling.

I do think Harry likes Shakira more than Helena. But I have been very disappointed in Shakira, she has really shown her immaturity. She is doing exactly what she was bitching about Helena for doing, except it's worse for her as she has seen more evidence of what Harry is truly like and she has broken up an actual relationship. Really hate her bitching with Toni, rolling their eyes at each other etc
They are absoutley partly to blame for the divide and in no way have they been more welcoming to newcomers no matter how Toni tries to spin it. Look how she treated Emily, Lauren etc I actually think Toni is pretty delusional and does not take accountability for her past actions ( "why do your family hate me, I am not a bad person", "Meg, you are responsible for the divide because you have been so unwelcoming to new people".)

Yas and Jamie are OK but I have not warmed to them. Don't think they will last on the outside, feel like Jamie is a bit bemused by the whole thing.

Quite like Conor and Megan, they seem quite down to earth and genuine, dislike Megan's constant swearing.

Don't love Meg and D but feel they don't deserve all the hate. Find them boring to watch but they are no worse than most of the others there.

Helena has dealt with the Harry thing quite well, it must have been increadibly difficult for her at the last recoupling. Wish she would stop pulling Harry and hugging him though.

I really agree with this. His flaws are big but he has some very good traits too. As others have said I’ve seen some ND traits too extremely impulsive, lack of social imagination being able to imagine how his actions will impact others.

Despite the character flaws we’ve seen in Dejon, the fact is that in real life Meg would have been invisible to him - and to be frank I think she can’t believe her luck and is blue rubber dressing as if her life depends on it.

Shakira and Harry won't last on the outside as she'll never trust him and be forever accusing him and laying down the law... and he'll run for the hills, straight into the arms of another Helena (or actually Helena) for a bit of carefree fun.

I'm definitely thinking it's the age thing and Shakira doesn't have much experience with older men. She has probably dated many "boys" around her age and is confusing Harry's confidence due to his age with intelligence and maturity.

I can see why a 22 year old might be drawn to him but to an old bird like me, he's just a creepy slimeball with an odd fetish for BO 🤮

So who is going to win.

Shakira and Harry - can't as she has gone back to Harry and he does not deserve the prize money.
Toni and Cash can't, as if Harrison came back in right now she'd be crying over him again.
Def not Mymeg and mustard - of course he told her he loves her, as if ! but she fell for it.
Helena and Blu - not likely
Megan and Connor - no as she had been booted out, otherwise yes.
Yas and Jamie - maybe
Angel and Ty - maybe

I agree that S and H won’t win - rightly or wrongly
the reconciliation has out paid to that. I do
think there are genuine feelings there but it won’t last.

I can’t get behind Angel, I just don’t warm to her and her fake laugh grates on me.

I do like Yas and Jamie and want them to win considering the other possibilities. I also see them lasting .

Really dislike Blu and Helena. She’d be back to Harry like a rat up a drain pipe.

I like Toni and Cach but I can’t see that lasting.

I really like Connor - I’m neutral on Megan but o don’t think it would be fair for her to win given that she was voted out by the public. Make it make sense that she’s back.

Meg and D seem to have huge support for their ‘from the start love story’ on FB.

I have to wonder why Blu and Megan needed famiky visits.

The people voting appear to be young and inexperienced in life. .

Depends how they edit it.

Harry and Shakira - two biggest characters so they "deserve" it
Megan and Conor - arguably the most genuine connection in there
Meg and Dejon - if the vote splits and the hoodwinked FB masses take control
Toni and Cach - have taken a bit of a backseat recently
Yas and Jamie - popular girl with popular guy so could be a dark horse contender
Helena and Blu - will surely be dumped before the finals
Ty and Angel - shouldn't be in the finals but if they are will definitely not win, producers gave their family time all of twenty seconds, that's how much they care about them

I think it’s evident from all of your posts that you absolutely hate Shakira and Toni. I have a feeling you will deny it though 😂

Yasmin and Jamie for me, I just wish Yasmin hadn't felt the need to go in there like a raving sex maniac.

We don't know much about Jamie, but that's probably in his favour as means he's actually quite normal. He's also the best looking islander this year imo and I'm surprised he didn't get more attention in there.

I'm leaning towards Yasmin and Jamie as winners now as I'm not convinced Toni and Cach will last. I also get the vibe that Cach is getting bored and looking forward to escaping!

Jamie is an electrical engineer and doesn't have much of a SM following, so yes, normal by LI standards!
I'd quite like him and Yas to win. They've never been nasty to anyone in there that we've seen. Thought her sister was gorgeous too and her mum very glam!
I like Connor and agree they seem genuine but not a huge fan of Megan. Think they're possibly most likely to last a while on the outside though.

Yes, Jamie and Yas & probably Conor seem like the most emotionally mature people in there, based on what we've seen.

First look does not look good. It’s starting to get uncomfortable watching the girls. I blame the producers for showing the one sided clips as Meg seems to think because none of her bitchy comments were shown it means she hasn’t said anything and she is the victim. The reality is they have all been just as bitchy as each other.

IMO all the girls have sniped at others behind their backs. Some more than others. For different reasons but they’ve all done it. The situation between Shakira and Meg is now getting very uncomfortable.

Yasmin is somewhat more measured in what she says. Jamie has been a gent throughout. My winners for sure.

Hmm I have to say I'm going off Toni. Very hypocritical the past week. Throwing accusations but doing similar herself.

I do wonder whether My Meg actually believes mustard...I hope she's playing along too because she's gonna hit the ground with a hard bump when she gets out and sees mustard for what he is.

Harry and Shakira just make me want to vomit. Can't believe she's done a full 360 on him!!!
