I agree. I’m still following it but I can’t bring myself to watch it anymore.

Meg and Helena are awful, I think Helena must be one of the most vile female contestants yet.

Did anyone think it was rather convenient that Shakira finished it with Connor so close to Meghan coming back in although I guess there would have been more drama if Shakira hadn’t. Shakira really seems to have lost her sparkle at the moment.

I was glad it was that way around so they weren't still trying to make a go of it and then Megan came into that and caused havoc. This feels kinder that Shakira ended it and he was a sad for about 30 seconds before he was over the moon and back into Megan. I thought Shakira looked relieved/amused that Megan was back after a date with him. Surprised for sure, but it would only validate her ending it that he's moved on so swiftly, in a way she's not able to do so easily. I'd imagine it is exhausting if you invest any real feelings and you would lose some sparkle and start looking forward to heading home when the time comes.

(Would totally buy it though that things were edited/managed to happen that way around, hence the convenience)

I feel like some people are reading a lot more into the divide between the girls than what is actually there. I also don't get why Helena should have left Harry alone just because Shakira liked him. It was early days and everyone carries on getting to know people who are coupled up. Harry was the one who was talking shit when he told Shakira he wouldn't treat her like he did others because she wouldn't stand for it. He still carried on flirting with Helena. I agree that he was pushed by others to choose Helena in the end and wanted Shakira but that's his weakness, not Helena being mean, she was just going for what she wanted as they all say they would. And yes Helena and Meg have plotted to pull boys for chats etc. but I really don't think I've seen them making as many personal comments about other girls as Toni and Shakira have.
I'm not strongly on anyone's side btw, and the only girl I quite like is Yasmin, I'm just baffled by how some viewers see something so different.

It’s totally conceivable to me that people find Toni and Shakira bitchy. They’ve both made a fair few catty comments. Shakira herself commented that she said one of them because she was intending to be nasty. She’s not pretending to be a woman of superior self control who always takes the high road.

My view is that she’s been on the receiving end of a lot of provocation from the ‘cool clique’ of Helena, Harry, Mustard and Mug (and so has Toni to an extent) & if her only flaw is to respond to that with the odd bitchy comment, she’s doing well. I’d have bitten far sooner, and far nastier. The initial stuff with Emily was uncomfortable to watch tho.

I think it’s a massive stretch to say she’s fake. She could have easily settled in with Ben, Ty or Connor and coasted on to the final. She also shut it down with Blu immediately after he lunged at her in the hideaway. She doesn’t play with people’s feelings and she’s true to her own! She’s the realest one in there.

It's often very stupid toilet humour.. but all the girls get along.
Different personalities and yes stronger bonds between some. But you see everyone getting on and having fun.
No divide or drama. Less stilted.

It’s Helena’s attitude that’s the problem. If she’d have said “oh btw Shakira I’m into Harry so I’m going to be pulling him for chats” I don’t think anyone would have seen the problem. Instead she:

• plotted to sneak off to the hideaway, wandered over to him in bed kissing Shakira and grabbed his foot to let him know it’s go time, leaving Shakira none the wiser;
• wound Harry up about Shakira “your birds in the hideaway btw, your birds in the hideaway” snigger snigger snigger;
• began wearing Shakira’s clothes while trying to steal her man and sneering about it with Mug;
• called Yasmin boring repeatedly when Harry kissed her;
• whispered that she “couldn’t wait to fuck him” during the dance to get his heart rate going so that she could ‘win’ against Shakira;
• carried on flirting and plotting with Harry without letting Shakira know whilst she was aware that he was also lying to Shakira and she had no idea about the relationship they were forming - also told half the villa about it so that they could all sneer in tandem;
• randomly started pursuing Harrison even though she couldn’t care less about him with no regard to Toni’s feelings;
• decided to go after Ty while Shakira was getting to know him, even though she’d just declared that she had an undeniable connection with Harry - literally pulling him from chats with Shakira (snigger snigger snigger);
• slagged off her own besties; and
• referred to the new bombshell as a fish cake because Harry was sniffing around her.

Yes, Harry is a tosser, but Helena is mean and deliberately sneaky.

Excellent round up @heroinechic ! God I'd forgotten that she did that with Ty after the 'undeniable connection'. By that point, it really felt like psychological warfare on Shakira, so hardly a surprise she's not fully processed it yet and ready to pour her heart into another coupling. More of a surprise she's held it together so well and not bitten back more. If she rolls her eyes/smirks sometimes at their claims of devotion, it's hardly unfathomable after all of that.

I see that M&D slept together after declaring themselves boyfriend and girlfriend! Is it just me who sees the waiting as a carefully calculated decision to protect their images and deals post villa 🤔

Just read on Facebook (so it must be true 😜) that Helena and Harry have had a big bust up and she's called it off.

I like Shakira but dislike Harry so much that if they got together I would not want them to win.

Ill be voting Cach and Toni all the way. Toni is ok. not my favourite girl but shes alright however IMO Cach is the best boy in there by far. He is actually so sweet and I dont think any other guy comes close (athough I like Ty and Jamie).

I dont mind Yasmin either but she was quite annoying when she first joined, I do like that shes not fake and stayed fairly consistent though

On the one hand I feel he is a total twat guided by lust but then you see him having normal cute conversations with Shakira like about Aldo tango etc and I think that he does want something meaningful with her but just can’t seem to grow up ! I am kind of shipping them 🙄

I couldn't bring myself to vote for Shakira and Harry together either if she was to recouple with him. Her head knows he a wrong'un but they clearly fancy each other physically! Stay strong Shakira, you're worth so much more, the LI villa is a toxic place to be at this stage 😬

thwres something about shakira and harry that I quite secretly root for, which I know is completely ridiculous. I think it might come from me fancing the popular boys in high school but never feeling good enough… sometimes you just want the underdog to get the guy!
although I’m very aware how ridiculous this is and Shakira deserves SO much more!

I really like Shakira and think she has had an extremely rough time in there.

With the arrival of Megan I think, at this point, it might be wise for her to go home. She finished things with Conor because she couldn't give him what he needed from her right now, but it wasn't just him, it was anyone. She has admitted that she is not wanting anyone so there is nothing left for her there now. She even knows that getting back with Harry would be wrong and unwise.

From seeing the Grafties clips, it looks like she could well get some stick from those when they are shown also so it might be just worth her bowing out now, for her own good more than anything else.

if the Grafties finish Shakira off, that's a real failure for the show. Regardless of her romantic prospects (and how many of the couples in there really have those down?), she's a great islander and her friendship with Toni and Yasmin is one of the most enjoyable elements. So when it's this close to the end, they should want to keep her in there until the natural point when the process (recoupling or other set point for a cull) takes her out of it, not push her to the point where she feels she has to leave for her sanity. That would be a poor show in all ways!

Ps what is grafties clips?!

LI put clips online in several categories and you could vote for them. A disproportionate number featured clips of Shakira taken out of context to show her in a poor light.

Meg and Helena got a total pass.

Why are they doing this?! Are LI not reading their socials to get the general feeling towards the mean girls?!
