A lot of the players seem to have thin taping around their knees- always seems a bit pointless. Must do something though.

Poor Barbora - she’s not having much luck lately

She really isn't- was out with injury till May, fell ill at Wimbledon and now this.

If Barbora stands a chance of being fit for the US Open she probably won't want to push on with this.

Shame it was Jasmine's doubles match that was a walkover and not her's!

Well done Jasmine, it's a shame Barbora couldn't put up more of a fight, but I'm happy for her thst she has won.

It's a shame for Barbora- because not only was she just getting back to into singles, I think her doubles partnership with Jelena has real potential- and probably now faces a setback. (And Jelena has had a few partners this year- since they are fickle ).

Jannik has started strongly.

And as if I wasnt confused enough about what day it is- we are celebrating DD1's brithday a day early, because she is 19 on Saturday (shares a birthday with Jannik- and Madonna).
But she is away for the weekend, and then goes on holiday to France on Monday, so will not be home. So we are doing her birthday tomorrow.
