So Daniil lost as well- sounds like he was a bit of a casualty of the heat. He was leaning into the fridge at one point.

Cincy had had a bit of an odd start. Not least because it started on Thursday and I still don't know what day it is.

I didn’t see any of the tennis yesterday (I’m visiting a vineyard - in Yorkshire - who’d have thought it ) - it does seem as if there have been quite a lot of withdrawals/retirements

Poor Daniil - I can relate - I usually want to
stick my head in the fridge when we go on holiday ( or possibly this week if the weather forecast is right!)

These 2 week tournaments don’t really seem to suit anyone

The 2 weeks tournaments are not suiting anyone- and this one is a strange overlapped mashup with Montreal/Toronto , making things even more difficult.

I was up really early today, because the dog has a 4 weekly vet appointment for injections- and they rang to cancel. So he is happy asleep and I can't decide what to do now .

I’m disappointed for Daniil, I really wanted him to have a decent run. I miss the days when matches were decided by who was better at tennis, rather than who can best endure the horrible conditions.

Big Foe is looking good in sleeveless, and one of the better shades of green, he's just beaten Ugo Humbert.

I’ve just seen where Emma had complained about noise when she was trying to serve and the umpire said “it’s a child, do you want me to send a child out of the stadium?” Off with them I say, why aren’t the parents doing anything? It’s ridiculous!
