I watched a bit of Emma’s second set and she was well behind, so am pleased to see she came back to win! I do like Maria though so it’s a shame for her as it looked like she had that second set sewn up.

I was only checking the scores because Daniil and Corentin are on after. That could be a fun one .

I like Maria Sakkari less since I discovered she attended Trump’s inauguration.

Her boyfriend is the son of the Greek PM so it was probably like going to a work thing hopefully

With the climate getting hotter I really think they need to find a way to push the North American swing back by a month. It’s much too hot there at this time of year.

The whole schedule needs a re-vamp. Not sure how they would do it, but something needs doing.

Between the number of tournaments, the turnover between them, the fact most are mandatory, and then the rising heat at some tournaments (not in Austria- just rain over there)- it's all becoming harder. And if they want players to stay fit (physically and mentally) enough to play- the ATP/WTA need to do something.

There have already been enough withdrawals from from Toronto.

I don’t know if you guys have the same commentators over on Sky but they’re yapping on about gamesmanship when Daniil looked about to collapse and didn’t even get any advantage from the time out.
