You can see half the cast all shiny from the heat and humidity. And probably will for a couple more months yet at least!

Not a lot has changed since the beginning of the last thread!

Nina and Summer had a close shave when the police thought they'd attacked Gary when they were 'tripping.' Turned out it was Lou (who has been arrested.)

Lauren is falling for Aadi (he is cute to be fair.)

Debbie is fairly stable but sadly still has dementia.

Looks like Mick is going to cause trouble again, after being arrested for killing Craig. And Sally and Tim have been taking care of his and Lou's children.

Not much to be seen of the older characters, (I mean - like people who have been there 20+ years, not just the ones who've been there from the 1960s/1970s etc,) and Corrie is a little bit crime, and doom heavy at the moment.

But we do have a few 'light-hearted' moments to keep us going.

George and Glenda are always worth watching, Tim and Steve are funny together. Not fond of Cassie, but am warming to her and Steve being together, (and am warming to her a bit...) Debbie is a star and it's sad that she's ill, and DeeDee appears to be pining for her baby that she has 'given' to her brother James. James is being a bit of an arse to her too. Hope the little girl (Laila) stays in Coronation Street! She is adorable!

Kev has been given the all clear and doesn't have cancer now, but is telling everyone he does. Tyrone has caught him out though, and told him he needs to tell Abi!

Swain has been given desk duties, and counselling, (after the trauma of the death of her colleague Craig,) but isn't taking to the counselling, as she thinks she's fine.

Deedee and Ollie were like a couple of 12 year olds on that bench.

For a very clever women, DD is a complete idiot when it comes to men.

Joel continually lied to her, most memorably about his wife and daughter but she took him back even after discovering he was a cheat who was leaving his wife a few months after she had given birth.

Also wretching at Carl and Abi and their smooching, and once again, her lips look so odd when she is kissing anyone. (As they are so pumped up with fillers.) Imagine shagging Kevin, and then the next day, shagging his brother, it's all so grim and creepy! 😖

Kevin's brother is deeply unnattractive IMO, he gives me the creeps. There is nothing appealing about him IMO.

Also that bloke going after DeeDee and kissing her on that bench gives me the creeps too. Something a bit 'off' about him, and I wonder what he is up to. (And as a pp said, they were like two 12 year olds!) DeeDee is grating on me now, and that dress she had on looked awful, it was too tight, and her boobs were under her chin. She can't have been comfortable in it. She looked like she was holding her belly in/breathing in, the whole time she was standing/walking anywhere.

I wonder what the police chief knows about Becky (Swain's deceased ex wife?) Also, if I was Carla, I would end it with Swain, because she still seems very hung up on her (dead) wife. That's absolutely fine, to still not be over a desceased spouse, after 3-4 years, but I couldn't be with someone who was like this, and kept mentioning them. I'd call it a day if I was Carla.

Brodeh is getting on my tits. I hate the way he talks, and don't think he's a very good actor.

What with Kit, Costello and possibly even the dear departed Becky,Ted Hastings & co. would definitely have their work cut out with all the Bent Coppers at the Weatherfield cop shop, so they would...😁

Can anyone please clarify exactly when David was supposed to have witnessed Kit threatening Eli? The scene was shot from some random balcony with the implication that someone was watching, and next thing we know is David is sticking his neb in at the hotel in the lift. Are we supposed to deduce from that that he was the "mystery onlooker" who just happened to be on said random balcony at the right time? Or did he follow Eli? For a show that loves to oversimplify situations and emphasize the blatantly obvious, it really does have some weird continuity glitches...🙄

My main focus from tonight onwards is closely watching Carl's on/off beard.
