You can see half the cast all shiny from the heat and humidity. And probably will for a couple more months yet at least!

Not a lot has changed since the beginning of the last thread!

Nina and Summer had a close shave when the police thought they'd attacked Gary when they were 'tripping.' Turned out it was Lou (who has been arrested.)

Lauren is falling for Aadi (he is cute to be fair.)

Debbie is fairly stable but sadly still has dementia.

Looks like Mick is going to cause trouble again, after being arrested for killing Craig. And Sally and Tim have been taking care of his and Lou's children.

Not much to be seen of the older characters, (I mean - like people who have been there 20+ years, not just the ones who've been there from the 1960s/1970s etc,) and Corrie is a little bit crime, and doom heavy at the moment.

But we do have a few 'light-hearted' moments to keep us going.

George and Glenda are always worth watching, Tim and Steve are funny together. Not fond of Cassie, but am warming to her and Steve being together, (and am warming to her a bit...) Debbie is a star and it's sad that she's ill, and DeeDee appears to be pining for her baby that she has 'given' to her brother James. James is being a bit of an arse to her too. Hope the little girl (Laila) stays in Coronation Street! She is adorable!

Kev has been given the all clear and doesn't have cancer now, but is telling everyone he does. Tyrone has caught him out though, and told him he needs to tell Abi!

Swain has been given desk duties, and counselling, (after the trauma of the death of her colleague Craig,) but isn't taking to the counselling, as she thinks she's fine.

So what has Costello got to do with Becky ? And what do you reckon Kit has found out? Am I the only one who hasn’t a scooby doo what Swain was babbling on before about Becky and what she had done ? I must have fallen asleep! At least we had some good acting from Dave the Yorkie tonight! DD is getting on my nerves wish she’d ride off into the sunset with the wooden Carl and Abi seeing as she ain’t going to Spain! As if Kevin would have accepted that excuse and not turned the place upside down to find said passport ! Bonkers !

I switch off every time I hear the name 'Becky', which is rather a lot.

Why would Olli be all over DeeDee if he’s gay?
Could be bi of course but seems a bit far fetched even for Corrie. I don’t think Ollie’s motives are good but i don’t think James is involved. His date is more likely Eli.

The whole Becky/ Costello/ Kit thing. Obviously something happened that’s being covered up or why would they keep bringing Becky into the story?

Is Becky definitely dead? Is she going to do a Bobby Ewing? That would be a nice new set for The Street - a shower. How many uses will they get out of that one? Quite a few the way the innuendos, sex scenes and nudity are ramping up 🙄

I thought David the Dog looked rather uncomfortable. Perhaps it was filmed during the heatwave.

Dallas budgets must have been considerably larger than little Corrie's because I don't recall ever seeing a bathroom or even a bathroom door! We've never been privvy (no pun intended ) to anything upstairs on set. A shower scene would be great though. 🛀

Really? Please no. There are too many sex driven scenes now anyway, just think what a shower would lead too. And they'd all be in the same shower. Yuk!

Billy Prayerhands and Paul got stuck in their bathroom and had to be rescued by Todd and Ed.

Oh you're right! 🛀 and the last thing I want to see is a (or any) naked soapy Steve McDonald backside on my screen. A Corrie shower scene could be done tastefully though. Just like all the other scenes.

If it's correct then the Ollie-DD-James is a repeat (without siblings) of the Classic Corrie Sunny-Sean-Michelle scenario which has just been aired.

DeeDee is behaving very strangely.

I don’t think the DeeDee/Olly/James triangle is likely, I think the lines about him going in a date were just to show how well they are juggling their lives co-parenting Layla.

Memorable bathroom scenes: Paul stuck in bath, Les & Cilla when Schmichal the dog jumped in, a few in Debbie’s hotel bathrooms!

Yes a three year old that was the product of Abi’s last affair that he was good enough to take on and bring up. Who he helped her get custody of (I think?)

The back alley or the new “memorial garden” are the only places people hide their affairs, only 15m from their houses and neighbours. And the dodgy guinnel is where all criminal activity takes place!

Abbie is acting very shabby ! She needs to go. She seems to be devoid of shame. I'm wondering if she'll do as she's promised and follow on to Spain to join Kev and the kids. I doubt it. 🫤

Were Abbie and Kevin meeting Sophie in Spain? Im sure I heard some mention of Sophie looking after the kids while they relaxed.
