Joaquin Phoenix was superb as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon was brill too - it really was an excellent film.

BTW, he denies that he was born with a cleft lip...however...there are still theories that he was born with a Form Fruste cleft...which is an "almost" cleft lip...i.e. it healed together on it's own accord whilst still in the womb....not that it matters, just thought I say because some people mentioned it.
