Heidi - 1978

nannynick · 27/05/2008 00:20

I relive my youth quite often... one of the plus points of working with children, you get to rewatch all those programmes you watched yourself as a child

nannynick · 27/05/2008 00:27

Oh yes, I remember Wizbit and T-Bag

MargaretMountford · 27/05/2008 08:37

Whizzz - I loved Casey Jones 'steaming and a rolling',Robinson Crusoe - I have the music on cd - loved it ! and Tales of the Riverbank was lovely

wuzzlefraggle · 27/05/2008 09:50

tegan - how could I have forgotten ALF?

(my doctor looks like him...seriously, right down to the quiff...it's the only reason I still go to my surgery)

hoppybird · 27/05/2008 10:41

ooh, Whizzz - that Tales from the Riverbank theme was very evocative, though I don't really remember it so well, only being 30-ish .

However, as Margaret mentioned, Robinson Crusoe was also one of my absolute favourites, it must have been repeated in the 70s, as that's the time I was able to remember things from. I can only recall the lovely music from White Horses, but things like Three Nuts for Cinderella also made a real impression on me.

treacletart · 27/05/2008 10:48

Blimey only skimmed the thread but I can tell I'm sooooo much older than most people on here! Can't see anuy other mention of the double deckers. I was really excited to get an ebay dvd of the complete episodes to show ds recently - and I was so shocked at how regularly horrible they all were to doughnut!

Funny how this shows what age groups we are all in- I'm obviously in the (slightly) older group with MM/Jura/noscat & Whizz

I remember Pogle's Wood well- we lived in Stoke Poges at the time & thought 'twas about us!!

Anyone remember an obscure American TV show called HR Pufnstuff with a VERY young Jack Wilde?

Oh and this.....Banana Splits

MargaretMountford · 27/05/2008 16:22

bossy - yes, I do remember HR Pufnstuf and loved Pogles Wood and Banana Splits - must be late forties !

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/05/2008 18:25

Does anyone remember 'Let's Pretend'. It was basically a bunch of acting students larking around in a cardboard box, pretending it was a battleship or whatever. Accompanied by a marionette caterpillar. Must have been made with a budget of 50p!

It was on in the mid 1980s. It was my absolute favourite, and I have never met anyone as an adult who remembers it.

I always loved anything with Brian Cant in it, I wanted Brian Cant to be my dad because he looked so kindly

A fave from the 90s, Maid Marian and her Merry Men. Brilliant.

MargaretMountford · 27/05/2008 18:26
