I've been at a couple of Taskmaster recordings. If you recognise my username you'll know one of them.

GretaGip · 06/07/2025 00:51

Friends in London, we won tickets off the Channel 4 breakfast show, but can't remember what that was called.

"The One with Ross's Wedding"

It was an amazing experience.

CeaselesslyIntoThePast · 06/07/2025 00:58

Emmerdale, ended up being an extra. Girls and boys - failed Chris Evans show. Question time and BGT. Very varied!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 06/07/2025 01:17

Harry Enfield show, Paul Whitehouse sung opera. Also Silent Witness filmed on my street. I grew up near a film studios so saw lots of films being made.

MrsScrubbingbrush · 06/07/2025 01:28

IToldYouSoSee · 06/07/2025 01:51

FrodoBiggins · 06/07/2025 02:06

Saw (what I assume was) the new series of the Night Manager being filmed outside my work a while ago, was a little more interesting than catching up on my emails!

Purpleknickers · 06/07/2025 02:18

The tv series Joan

EBearhug · 06/07/2025 02:21

The BBC production of Sense and Sensibility c1980. We were allowed to sit in the horse-drawn coach they used - I was about 7.

Sylvester McCoy as Doctor Who at Blists Hill in Ironbridge.

When I was working in a university library in 1993, it was used for some scenes of a shortlived detective series. We library assistants were greatly amused by the fold up chairs they had with artiste written across the back.

As I grew up without a TV and didn't have one for much of my young adult life, I never actually saw the programmes except S&S, which we went to see at a friend's house (and I now have on DVD.)

I've been to some recordings of Radio 4 shows, but not TV.

x2boys · 06/07/2025 09:23

I have no idea, what they were filming, and it was never explained to us but Johnny Ball and Gillian Kearney ,filmed something in the main corridor of my secondary school in around 1989 at the time she had just finished playing Debbie in Brookside really odd.

bjonesreborn · 06/07/2025 09:33

Poldark at the studios in Bristol

fridaynightbeers · 06/07/2025 09:39

Michael Portillo’s train journeys - they tried to throw me out of my carriage and I said no 😂

Bridport · 06/07/2025 10:51

Casualty, Holby City, Mistresses, Teachers, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Broadchurch.

Bridport · 06/07/2025 10:52

OHHH and Dr Who. The Christmas special was filmed in February and a whole terrace was decorated with trees and tinsel.

Flossflower · 06/07/2025 11:51

I have been to watch pointless and would I lie to you. I would not go again. The waiting round is quite bad, though Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osmond were very friendly and chatty to the audience.
Over 10 years ago I was at Heathrow Airport and was walking past X factor being filmed. They were on about the 20th take of the contestants having to look surprised at where they were off to.

pontivex · 06/07/2025 12:29

In the audience
Top Gear (proper old one at Dunsford with Clarkson, May etc plus a Jamiroquai cameo)
QI twice
HIGNFY
Graham Norton Show
Jonathon Ross show
Many many ‘pilots’ of talk shows and quizzes.

Just passing in the street
Sherlock

Outlander. I don't watch it though so I've no idea who anyone was.

It, or part of it, is filmed near where I live so I've seen some of the goings on (not actual acting or filming) but I don't watch it either so none of it means anything.

There was an advert filmed in a street here not so long ago. Can't remember what it was for.

I did see acting and filming for Wessex Tales, back in the day.

gingercat02 · 06/07/2025 14:18

Vera, but everyone round here saw Vera, one episode was at the end of the street

PemberleynotWemberley · 06/07/2025 14:35

As an Oxford student in the late 80s/early 90s we often had Inspector Morse filming on location and it was a regular game to lean out of college windows or have loud conversations to disrupt it. The whole crew must've hated the students.

Skissors · 06/07/2025 14:43

A Very Peculiar Practice - back in the 80s

cliffdiver · 06/07/2025 14:54

In the studio - Top of The Pops

In the wild - Grace. Several times, never deliberate

datagirl · 06/07/2025 15:05

The only way is Essex

PemberleynotWemberley · 06/07/2025 15:19

@Skissors were you at Keele? You might know my sister who was there in the 80s (or I guess you might be her!)
