I think they did something to Rod's microphone when he went off during Forever Young. He has had influenza A and cancelled a string of gigs across the US. Pretty amazing for 80 - he gets a free pass from me.

Read the review of Rod Stewart in the Independent. It’s full of funny one liners. Hilarious. Oh dear! For those of us old enough to have loved Rod the Mod live, this was anguish! I’m with the Independent. It’s “wringing out the dregs of a career”. “His first note isn’t even the flattest - it’s an earache more like”. You get the gist and I agree. Awful.

To be fair, Madonna has name dropped Nile Rodgers and William Orbit in the past. I recall a few old interviews with her , I think she was always grateful to those who helped her during her career.
As for Rod, he is who he is. If he wasn’t famous he’d definitely be up weatherspoons for a full English breakfast and having a chat about the ‘good old days’ with his mates.
