It’s not as jarring now but in my younger years, the theme tune to Rhubarb and Custard was very abrasive

Ones that are earworms. Anyone remember Howard’s Way? Couldn't get the tune out of my head for days - and it's in my brain again 🤪

I actually want this as my ring tone.

The Howards Way theme tune was great (as was the series, very much of its time and I still watch it on DVD from time to time) but for one series (S2 if I recall correctly) they added vocals (always there...........) and it was dreadful, dropped for the remaining series.😖

In recent TV shows, I couldn’t stand the theme song of Apple TV’s ‘Your Friends & Neighbours’. I had to mute it so it didn’t give me the rage.

Yup, Always There it was called. Right up there with Anyone Can Fall in love the Anita Dobson song version of the Eastenders theme tune. I don't mind either theme without the words.

Star Trek: Enterprise theme song made me unable to watch the show (which I heard was crap anyway). They'd had various iconic instrumental themes and they decided for this series to have... a dreadful middle-of-the-road rock dirge, it was awful!

I didn't dislike the Howard’s Way tune, (or the series, watched them all), just couldn't get it out of my head for days after. It just palls after the 500th mental replay LOL.

Grange Hill with that bloody sausage in the cartoon style credits used to make me feel sick

The tune that I hate is the One Show theme.

Ha the fucking ONE show! I hate it. Adult DS switches the channel if I'm not around he knows how much I despise that show, We always have BBC news at six on and it comes on at 7 . I switch to House of Games if i'm around at 7 - proper pisses me off even just the theme tune!

Mine is also The One Show, it’s a pretty pointless programme anyway.

Agree with most of these. Rentaghost for me. It’s been 40 odd years now and it still pisses me off.
