I have just subscribed and watched Good American Family. Tried Stolen girl, but not really into it. Loved Greys Anatomy.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

The guy who plays Hamilton in the Disney+ recording is Lin-Manuel Miranda who wrote Hamilton, including the music, lyrics and book, and wrote the part of Alexander Hamilton for himself.

lol

My Husband and I loved The Old Man. It was very gripping! I also recently rewatched all the Ally Mcbeal on Disney.

Shogun and rivals were my favourite shows from last year. I sometimes struggle with the kind of ‘event’ critically acclaimed series (succession, wolf hall, white lotus) which i put down to the fact I have a fairly mentally challenging job and I want light hearted. But shogun was mesmerising. I threw my entire family out one day so I could watch when not tired and fully able to concentrate. Rivals is just amazing.

i comfort watch modern family, only murderers, greys.

also the actual Disney films. I have a thing for Encanto (makes me cry like an absolute baby) and the easy marvel films ( guardians of the galaxy especially)

Ha that explains it then, very talented man but it makes sense now why he’s playing Hamilton if he cast himself as I don’t think a casting agent would have chosen him! His just doesn’t suit it 🤷‍♀️

I second The Americans - one of my all-time top five series!

It's set in 1980s America and focused on two deep undercover Soviet spies posing as the all-American family with their (at first unsuspecting) American tween/teen children. It's as much about the emotions/relationships as it is about the espionage.

I'm incredibly fussy and it hooked me from the first 10 minutes of the first episode. It's got great storylines, script and really well-developed characters. Plus probably one of the best season finales ever (I think it has been rated as much).

Also, apart from maybe a slight dip in season 5 (out of 6), it's consistently good throughout, unlike most other series Handmaid's tale, I'm looking at you

@Namechangeagain8464 , my favourite too, 1 of my highlights of 2020 was watching all the series of The Americans over 2 weeks, I don't think I will ever "binge" anything so great again.

Rivals
cant remember what it’s called but it’s a series about Vogue in the 1990s
