Why is East Enders so popular SOAP AWARD SPOILERS!

It’s ok to talk about as it was days ago. What is it about East Enders? I only watch Emmerdale and Corrie but they’ve won nothing tonight.

I can’t believe anyone still watches it! Same with corrie & emmerdale, prime TV time taken up by absolute drivel

This might be a generalisation but it's a London soap and there isn't much else soapwise down south.

I do honesy wonder why Iwatch it sometimes. Sometimes it's ridiculous, but it doesn't require much thinking and you can dip in and out of itas a familiar programme with familiar characters.

There are some weird things about the soap that dont sit right. I think the women are a bit too image conscious on it. They all wear heels everywhere and have painted nails, and I don't know anyone who does that in real life. Same with that people can be on their arse poor one minute then driving a range rover next. Oh, and there is this weird thing with professional jobs, if you are a teacher you are a pervert, a doctor then you are a bit unhinged and if you are a lawyer you are definitely a dodgy one! It's a bit clichéd at times. Oh and there is never any CCTV if a crime is committed. In London too.

It's no worse than a lot of the drivel that Netflix churns out though and many people seem to watch those series
