No, no problem here. How old is yours?

FuckityFux · 03/06/2025 18:13

Dept Q is brilliant! I use a Roku stick. What sort of problem are you getting?

Netflix have stopped supporting the oldest firesticks from 10 years ago

MrsLargeEmbodied · 03/06/2025 18:23

Our fire stick quite a few years old - not 10 years old though. Netflix working fine at the moment

Amazon Prime and Iplayer both stopped supporting my smart TV a few months ago - it's not ancient - 2017. Very annoyed, especially about Iplayer. I have bought a Roku and that's working OK.

I swapped to a roku a while ago and find it better. Think when I swapped the fire stick didn’t support Now, or maybe Disney. Roku supported everything.

Sifu192 · 10/06/2025 00:07

Just ditch fsticks get an onn plus 4k

Is this something that can be resolved by buying a new fire stick then? My teen has been having this issue but she thought it was her tv, I’d be glad if it was the fire stick and I could buy one of those instead of a new tv. Can no longer watch Disney+ or Netflix ?

HerdingWiredCats · 10/06/2025 01:27

I’m impressed with my Roku.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/06/2025 06:11

oh is Disney plus not supported either?

I'm impressed your old firestick was useable, we updated ours a few years ago and it made a massive difference. They are very cheap and easy to update and I'd rather get a new firestick than have to buy a whole new TV.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/06/2025 06:32

we are very patient! @JaninaDuszejko

Disney+ and Now are both on the latest firesticks. We just bought one after Netflix switched to the ad version, which isnt supported by our BT box.
