Suspenseful thriller based on the acclaimed novel by Liz Moore. Amanda Seyfried stars as Mickey, a Philadelphia cop who discovers that she may have a personal connection to a series of murders.

In fact the 1st episode started at 10pm but you can catch up on +1, with second episode immediately after!

Or on demand https://www.channel4.com/programmes/long-bright-river/on-demand/78006-001

Have no idea if it is any good. I am recording.

I've watched all of this, and can see from reviews that some have taken against it for being too long and too slow.

But I think it was trying to be moody and meaningful.

And dealt with a lot of unsettling issues.

So on one level I enjoyed it.

But for me it had 2 flaws.

One is that includes a young boy, and there is something about how US films, tv series make them cliched and off putting . On one level all cute and boyish, and then being oh so adult with insightful comments. Although the young actor was good.

The other, which was a bit hard, but may in fact have been the intention. The main character was quite honestly a bit of a pain in back side!

And forget, the fanciful ending.

But am wondering if the main character had been male, I would have accepted their behaviour and not been so picky!
