Just finished watching and it is interesting how different I feel about them all this time round.

Demi clearly let being a fan favourite go to her head and was awful and I really liked her last season.

At first I thought Whitney was a changed character but by episode 10 I realised she only cared about rejoining Mom Tok

This series seems much more 'set up' than the 1st and they're all way more nasty & backstabby. I'm liking Whitney a bit more this season but I'm only in episode 5. Mikayla seems to have had a complete personality change. The only one I really like is Taylor, she's a hot mess but at least she's honest about it. I really hope Jen tells Zack to fuck right off by the end of the season.

Jen and zack with there obvious damage control , the whole ben affleck is my cousin lie . Did zack gamble the money away or not ? Why would she lie about it . Zack seems completely different, I've only watched 2 episodes but it seems like everyone is working extra hard to make him look like a good guy. Jens hair has improved so much in some of the episodes last year the extensions were very bad and her own hair looked greasy, I really hope for her sake zack has changed

There is so much more drama than last season, I did like Jess but she seems like such a trouble maker now stirring the pot all the time, I definitely have a soft spot for Tayler and yes Zack seems to have done a 360, no one can change that much!

Oh good a thread. Definitely more ‘set up’, I’m not really liking anyone this season! Whitney is marginally better, Mikayla has had a personality transplant, they all seem very bitchy. I’ve never got how popular Taylor is, her and Dakota aren’t a good match at all, it’s unfortunate they brought a kid into the mix and they both always appear really spaced out. Demi has been set up to be the villain of the series. So much sex talk too.

Yes I will continue watching!

Just finished episode 10 and I'm surprised there's obviously a part 2 of the season to come!

I'm really not a Taylor fan, she is a drama magnet but also pulls others into that drama. Why originally did she need to tell everyone about the swinging,? She hurt a lot of people. I can believe Demi that Taylor never asks how anyone else is.

I'm pleased I can finally tell Jessi and Demi apart now. Demi is trying to hard to have beef with people and has just made herself go from fav to villain.

How have they all got multiple children and their stomachs are pancake flat? Fair enough they are all slim and obviously take care of themselves but they wear those unforgiving leggings and there no jiggle!

I wondered that too but they’ve all had their kids young and no doubt snapped back into shape. They also don’t drink, most of them don’t I’m sure, so maybe that helps? (She says looking at own wine belly..)

I'm glad it's not just me struggling to tell them apart. I'm sure it wasn't so hard last series?

Some trendy new therapy , Tyler from teen mom is doing it too seems a bit dangerous to me. All I know about it is its a horse tranquilliser and people use it as a party drug too.

I hate Taylor's family

My take:

• Taylor needs some serious therapy. Her stepdad is vile - I was stunned the way he spoke to her at the bbq. I think she does live in the chaos and chases it - but again, I think that stems from some dire self-esteem issues. Does that excuse her rash behaviour? Absolutely not. But did she deserve Demi in the war path? I don’t think anyone deserves that. I also think that because she’s so erratic and often posts before she thinks, everything she says in the heat of the moment is probably true 👀👀👀
• Jen is a huge people pleaser who will say what feels right in the moment to keep that person happy. As a result, she’s upset people across the group. I really felt for her when she opened up about the extent of her MH struggle - and I honestly can’t say I was surprised she was in such a dark place. And as for Zac?! Full 180. He seems to have grown up since last season, seems very level headed now….and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that those changes have happened since he stopped going to church 👀
• Demi is a power hungry, jealous mean girl 🤷🏻‍♀️ The way she has shit all over half the group and it all comes down to money tells me everything I need to know about her as a person. The whole thing about Jessi’s hair business was probably one of the most horrible things a “friend” could do.
• Whitney I’m still on the fence - I do think she’s put in effort to mend the fences from last season…..but I think she’s only done that because she needs the income from MomTok 😵‍💫
• Layla…..I still have no opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 she’s still very much a follower and I can’t form a clear view of her either way.
• Mikayla I feel is edging towards Season 1 Demi. I don’t get why she’s holding on so tight to the Whitney beef from last season when people who were more directly affected by it are happy to move on from it.
• Mayci….Queen. I love her. She can do no wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
• Jessi - saw her in a whole different light this season. Season 1, I thought she was the Gretchen Wieners to Demi’s Regina George. She’s absolutely a pot stirrer (the whole chippendales thing)…..but this season I think she’s become a lot more level headed, and values the genuine friendships a lot more than before.

I was literally jaw to the floor watching that conversation at the BBQ 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

If I was in Taylor’s shoes, and I’d told my dad what Dakota had done (the Jenna situation)……it wouldn’t matter about my behaviour. Dakota would be in a shallow grave 🫣🫣😂 Not sitting at my dad’s table while my parents slut-shame me 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

I'm gonna watch this so will catch up when I'm done! First season was mind boggling

@MsNevermore I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Zac seems to still be getting a lot of hate but I actually thought he seemed more mature this year.

Was everyone just against Whitney because she went MIA and then when she came back she missed some events? I can't remember if she actually did anything else? Tbh there's something about her I find slimy but I can't think bad of her for wanting back in, they must be making a fortune and still have the flexibility for their families, I would fight for that too!

I feel like I need to watch the LVP villa series now, which I wasn't going to but it's clearly become part of this season.

Zac really surprised me too.
Last season, I was sat next to my DH baying for Zac’s blood 🫣🫣 I can’t imagine my DH ever speaking to me the way he spoke to Jen over the whole chippendales/vegas thing.
But this season? All I see is a man who’s stepped back from all the outside influence (the church!) about how he “should” behave within a marriage, and has figured out how HE feels he should behave within his marriage. Even after how he treated her last season, I really do think he loves the bones of Jen, and just wants her to be happy - and he can see from the outside that these “friendships” aren’t making her happy.
When he went over to Whitney and Connor’s house, I wasn’t sure whether he’d get sucked into the whole reality TV side of it and fully spill the beans about Jen’s really personal stuff…..but was so happy that he didn’t. He let them know that she was having an extremely hard time without shitting all over her privacy - which seems to be a first for anyone in the show!

I think she was telling everyone what everyone else was saying behind their backs and got caught out didn't she?

I think Mayci is the only level headed one.

I think she was stirring the pot, and also trying to make herself “the queen bee”…..then when that didn’t happen, she removed herself entirely. Not attending Taylor’s baby shower or acknowledging Mayci’s big business launch was the big bone of contention from what I remember!

I saw something on Instagram that suggested the second half of S2 might not be released until September so quite a while to wait.

I love this show, and i don't have TikTok or know anything about these crazy people. But it has sucked me in! There is less Mormonism this time round it seems, I quite liked the little explanations and "tackling the patriarchy" via TikTok nonsense of season 1. I do want to make the bake off cake now though.
It's all such an odd set up, I'm bewildered at Jen and her attachment to the now unemployed Zac. It's no wonder he wants back in to her earnings.
I've known a few Mormons over the years, one went to Brigham Young for university and was married by the end of first year. Her life is nothing at all like the MomTokers!

My DH grew up in Utah (he’s not Mormon though!)…..so that’s what got him sucked into the show when I started watching last season 😂
He’s told me some truly WILD stories over the years. Probably the saddest, is that the Mormon community have the highest rate of suicides among teenage girls 🥺 because they’d rather end their life than the church find out they’ve had sex with their high school boyfriend 😔😔

I'm still cracking my way through. Someone should make a montage of Layla faces. I fear I am Layla, the face always gives my thoughts away 😂

I've just seen season three advertised to start on 13 Nov!
