Anyone watching?
I found it hard to watch her finding it do hard.
So like my daughter who's autistic.

I'm wondering if their will be a reveal similar to the young lad with cereal palsy.
Or perhaps Shoned isn't aware.
I doubt she'll read mumsnet as she's 19.

I've been thinking about her though seeing her overwhelmed in the station was quite upsetting. Her boyfriend seems supportive and understands. Himself being type 1 diabetic, I wonder if the producers are creating a bit of a story in their selection process. Awareness I guess.

Bloody auto correct. Obviously it's cerebal palsy. Not cereal

Sorry wasn't aware of spelling, but should be.

They didn't show anything until this week. I wondered if deliberate or she coped less well (she mentioned it herself).

She’s 18 and never been away from her family. Shes said a few times she finds busy places overwhelming as she’s from a small village.

I am not autistic and I’ve been the same in similar places. It’s SUCH a culture shock and just not for me at all. And that’s fine. Except when you have another month of it stretching out before you!

She doesn’t seem autistic, she’s a young woman in a very overwhelming place.

My daughter who is 16 burst into tears in Time Square recently. It just was all too much
What I saw on last night's episode really resonated with me and us as a family. I'm her biggest fan now and hope she can cope. I'm planning to show my lovely daughter last nights episode to show her she isint unique and its ok to be like that. Fin seems lovely as well. Its not advertising India as a place for us to travel to as a family thats for sure. Love the programme. Go Sionad

She’s from Wales. Which is beautiful and rural and spacious with clean air and with lots of room per head of population. And now she’s in possibly one of the most crowded and populous and undoubtedly smelly and loud (all the cars and mopeds hooting!) places on earth. It’s a massive assault on all the senses. I’m not surprised she’s overwhelmed! Add in the poverty - the children alone are utterly heartbreaking - and the exhaustion of having been travelling and filming for 28 days she’s doing pretty well not to completely breakdown and ask to go home.

edited to add - I don’t think any of the above makes her autistic.
