It's ridiculous. Surely if, as they say, pretty much the entire single population of Australia applies to be on the show they could at least find two people who already live in the same state.

Sorry for him, and hope he recovers soon, but early 50s is the age men start having heart attacks. It is arrogant of them to think that at this age they can start having babies when women their age are going into menopause and so they deserve to be 'awarded' (as his cousin said) a younger woman.

No way he’s early 50s . If he is he’s had a hard life. I’m 54 and he looks way older than my DH and other friends .

I was listening to Lauren Dunn's podcast and she said the experts don't do any of the matching, it's all up to the producers.

He’s obviously learnt nothing then. What a surprise. No sane woman will go near him now.
The most satisfying thing in the reunion show was the looks of shock and disgust on everyone’s faces as they showed the video of his “journey” with Carina and it was so clear what he really was. I wonder if any of the cast have stayed in touch with him.

I do think rules around safeguarding and duty of care must be much more lax in Australia. In MAFSUK, I remember them removing 2 men the season before last - one for coercive control and one for punching another groom. We’ve seen much more scary behaviour go unpunished this season.

The ixpirts looked so smugly satisfied when Rhi and Jeff praised them for the success of the relationship 😂

One of them, think it might have been Jeff, credited the Ixpits with helping them view the relationship in different terms and get back on a romantic footing after previously zoning out and then starting off again a bit awkwardly and friend-zone.

I'm very sceptical about these new pairings though, Billy and Awhina and Jamie and Eliot. Think they may be milking their 15 minutes, although she says not

In some ways I think it was good that they kept Paul in; all the future tasks/traps seemed to be highlighting just how much of a shit he is (plus the editing, natch!😜) and he walked straight into every one of them. Now I would be very surprised of any woman ever went near him again. That's one less creep in the gene pool hopefully! 😂

Agree. Anyone early 50s I know doesn't look like that. And the same with Clint. He's basically not far away from my age and me and my friends look nowhere near anything like as old as him. Even ones with kids and sleepless nights!

Hmm, I wonder. A couple of people (Eliot, for one) seemed pretty far gone at the final dinner. That's not a criticism, if I was on the show I'd probably have to get trolleyed just to get through those dinner parties 😂but I wasn't really getting a sense of limited alcohol being available.

I thought Eliot looked stoned some of the time. Could be wrong though.

I want a follow up series, showing how all these new couples are getting on. I feel bereft!
