Well I turned over to watch it tonight - expecting to HATE it, but it was something that we could watch with DD before she went to bed.

In fact she loved it, I liked it and even DH tollerated it!..

We will be watching it again.

LOL - we also put it on in an "ironic" manner. DD and DS (4 and 6) adored it.

They have been booming "Gladiators - ready!" all afternoon!

I have a strong feeling it will turn into a Saturday evening staple!

fanbloodytastic. when DD1 was conceived (she's now 12) i used to watch gladiators witha bottle of wine before going out on a saturday night.
now the fantastic thing is thatit is just the same and i can get enythudiastic abot iot allover again.

my gladiator name is

BOVINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and yes i have had that bottle of wine now.

I watched it tonight and think I will leave it on Saturday and watch on the repeat on Sundays evenings instead.

We have started watching it with DD1 aged 9.

I remember it from the last time around - the Glads are just as cheesy this time!! LOL at Oblivion

We have fun thinking up alternative names for them (said in deep booming Gladiator-narration type voices of course):

Love it. dd1 loves it. Dh hates it but so what.

LOL Sidge - DD and DS have already made up their own Gladiator names and cheesy poses.

They both thought Oblivion was hysterical - if he cannot even frighten a 4 year old girl he does need to sharpen up his act a bit.

YEs Oblivion is a silly arse. One of them is v cute, can't remember his name though - its not the "he-man" one
