I wonder if Jacqui is trying to have a big romcom ending. Girl meets boy, they have ridiculous arguments but can’t stay away from each other until girl takes it too far by writing to do list on boy’s “vision board”. Boy says they are done. Girl begs for forgiveness and waits anxiously at final vows for her hero to show up and say he can’t live without her.

Yes she has a childlike idea of ‘a boyfriend’ and just wants to have one regardless of it not meeting her exacting needs. But he needs to fit her strict image as she’s so unwavering. She doesn’t read a room, has a skewed image of herself as hot ,lacks social awareness and emotional intelligence Definitely on the spectrum.

It is not fair to blame the edit. She is the one who is choosing to say and behave the way that she is. There's only so much coercion that can be blamed on the producers, at some point as an allegedly extremely intellectual and media savvy individual you say no.

Paul is a complete sleaze. So glad his alternative date saw it straight away “why are you here?” and zoomed off. Hopefully Carina is also seeing the light once and for all.

This new task isn’t sitting well with me. Paul has already shown himself to be violent and if it wasn’t for the producers being present I think Carina could very potentially be at the receiving end of Paul’s temper when things don’t go his way.

His love-bombing, smothering, gaslighting and deflecting are all tools of an abuser and it’s playing out on our screens. I worry that she wouldn’t be safe when other people aren’t around.

Wow, the way Paul lied talked so fast, every other word was “literally” and the way he thought speaking rudely about his date would clinch it…would get him off the hook. He is so bad. The scrabbling around to attempt to justify his actions by saying it just confirmed for him that Carina’s the one… how bad the date was…how he regretted going, he didn’t like the ow, completely missing the point that it wasn’t how it turned out that mattered, it was his intention in going!! Also he was rude to the other woman too, as he told her his relationship with carina was great, he’d just turned up to see what else was on offer, no actual interest in her as a person. Her reaction to him was excellent. Really hope Carina stays furious 😡
