But why would they have Lauren’s back over Jamie’s? Lauren was calling them all names. Then walked off bored with them all. Jamie was upset they chose to go to her. At that point Jamie hadn’t done anything wrong
she hadn’t been out of order.

That was why she was upset. She didn’t understand why, after Lauren was awful to all of them - they chose to go to her.

They didn’t have Lauren’s back over Jamie. Following Lauren was about Lauren, nothing to do with Jamie. Despite what she thinks Jamie isn’t the main character in MAFS. It’s quite possible some things are nothing to do with her

I think they were awful to Lauren, pecking for information and barely taking a breath as they bonbarded her.

Agreed. And Lauren wasn’t upset 🤷🏼‍♀️

She was TBF, she was crying. I’d be overwhelmed by people demanding information from me and then telling me I wasn’t doing enough

Why did they need to follow someone who didn’t want to talk though? Who wasn’t upset and had called them all names. She said she was bored with the conversation- so why go after her?

Jamie was not making it about her. She was just perplexed why they’d go after someone who clearly didn’t level them all…

Delatron · 15/04/2025 19:23

They were awful to Lauren? Were we watching the same program? They asked her questions about her relationship in a show about relationships. She called them all chavs (and more) and said she was bored by them all…implying she was superior to all of them.

Despite all the name calling and nastiness from Lauren not one of them challenged her or name called her back. Jamie just said she was rude.

She wasn’t crying as she left. I made a point to rewatch. She walked out saying she was bored. She stood outside talking to the producers saying they were all bogans. She turned on some water works when Rhi and Carina came over and asked if she was ok. She clearly thought - ahh I can really ham this up now.

Because people sometimes express their upset in ways other than crying and bellowing. They clearly sensed that she was upset and wanted to check she was OK. It shows they’re nice and don’t take sides. I think Beth Jamie and Awhina DO give meal girl vibes. “If you don’t agree with our gang you’re stupid/an outcast” types. That can’t be easy to be around

I saw them coming for her, not respecting it when she said she didn’t wanna talk and invalidating what she did say. Rhi was right - the delivery could have been so much better.

Controversial opinion maybe.... but I've gone off Alessandra.
Normally, I'd say she doesn't put a foot wrong but I think she was unnecessarily harsh with Jamie. She could have been much more constructive with her criticism. She treated Jamie with the same level of disdain she showed to Door punching Paul, and their crimes are hardly comparable.
Carina was treated like some amazing heroine when really she needs a few home truths to help her wise up about accepting shit behaviour from shit men. All the ixperts fawning over them as controlling Paul sits there mawling and pecking Carina on the couch. Made me feel sick ...all his violence swept under the carpet, as if it never happened, and a sham of a terminal relationship celebrated as something to aspire to.

I agree

It's actually insane that people on the show and IRL have bought Lauren's narrative rewrite. Blows my mind but also reminds of when they do those experiments to show how utterly crap humans are at being witnesses - and how easily they can be swayed in one direction or another.

We must have watched something completely different. I didn’t see that at all. Still astounded anyone defends Lauren but there you go. Agree
to disagree.

Yep - the rewriting of what happened is insane. I actually went back to rewatch 2 episodes to make sure I wasn’t going mad.

Meh, you could say some people have bought the Jamie victim narrative.

Jamie entirely over reacted at the whole thing and was vile to Carina at the dinner we party simply because she didn’t subscribe to the notion that loyalty = screaming shouting calling people out and doing as you’re told

As I’ve said Lauren was also awful. Both things can be true. But at least Lauren didn’t demand people behave a certain way towards her and lose it when they didn’t obey. She just wanted to be left alone

I think they did all take against Lauren because she wasn't interested in their relationships and didn't want to take part in everything. So it seemed like she wasn't there for good reasons.

No, I just don’t see it as Jamie being the centre of everyone’s thoughts.

TBH I’m astounded anyone thinks Jamie’s behaviour towards Rhi and Carina was anything but unacceptable and bullying and nasty. Such is the beauty of life that we’re all different and have different perspectives!

Donttellempike · 15/04/2025 19:35

Carina and Paul can get right in the bin. He’s a smarmy fake and she’s a complete drip

Delatron · 15/04/2025 19:36

Have we seen this self reflection from Lauren? I thought not. She’s probably still calling them all bogans and trolls.

I’m astounded that you can’t see why Jamie was the way she was.

She was hurt and lashed out.

I’m utterly astonished that you think Lauren is the victim here.

p.s. See what I did here?

I'm as bored as Dave right now

Villagetoraiseachild · 15/04/2025 19:43

Here we go....

Dillite2 · 15/04/2025 19:44

Will Veronica be attempting to gaslight Jeff just as she has been Elliot?

Dillite2 · 15/04/2025 19:45

And whose relationships have you helped, Ryan? Other than that of your shoulders and your neck?
