Mother’s Day PSA. Episode 1 is up. Very good if you like a Guy Ritchie yarn.

Gangs? ✅
Large Country House?✅
Gentlemen in flat caps?✅
Country pursuits?✅
Guns?✅
Puerce Brosnan?✅
Helen Mirren?✅

And large doses of Tom himself 🙌

I loved it. Bring on next Sunday.

Been waiting for this….I'm just undecided to watch weekly or wait and binge watch….decisions decisions!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 30/03/2025 14:06

I spent the best part of a minute reading the title as ‘Mo Bland’.

I’ll slink away and not bother you any more, sorry.

BlondeFool · 30/03/2025 16:58

Gutted only one episode on. I love a gangster.

Nanalisa60 · 30/03/2025 17:01

I’m going to wait till after Easter to watch I hate waiting for every Sunday for anew episode, I like a binge watch.

tennissquare · 23/04/2025 20:45

I'm on episode 3 and finding it too violent plus some of the Irish accents really irritating. Anyone else watching?

Still watching here and really enjoying it all. Tbf, Pierce Brosnan is actually Irish…

It's Helen Mirren that I'm finding trying especially after her accent in 1923 (I know I watch too much tv)!
I will give episode 4 a go later this week.

BlondeFool · 23/04/2025 22:45

I’m enjoying it apart from Helen Mirren. I’ve realised I can’t stand her as an actress.

Ditto Joanna froggat

BlondeFool · 23/04/2025 22:48

@NeilDiamondsBlowDryTotally. She’s so irritating. And the actor who who plays Eddie is shit. Other than them, I’m loving it 😂

LoafofSellotape · 26/04/2025 17:05

Really don't like HM either in this and am tolerating JF but really enjoying it otherwise!

I love PB's accent as he sounds just like my late father in law . It's spot on as far as I'm concerned.

AsIsaidearlier · 27/04/2025 22:37

Helen Mirren is spoiling this for me. Enjoying it apart from her acting and accent.

SlightlyJaded · 27/04/2025 23:16

Also enjoying in a broad/brash sense.

Helen Mirren should be allowed to play DS Jane Tennison and no other character. Ever.

LoafofSellotape · 27/04/2025 23:28

Tonight's episode was really good apart from Helen Mirren. She's the same character as in 1923. I'm not sure who would've been a better choice.

SlightlyJaded · 28/04/2025 00:01

@LoafofSellotapeHelena Bonham Carter, Kristin Scott Thomas or Gina McKee. They are all strong actors who could deliver that 'something' that would make the character more believable

Helen McCrory would've been brilliant 😢

BlondeFool · 30/04/2025 21:03

Last episode. Wow. 😳

squarepegroudhole · 14/05/2025 09:11

I am loving this. Thought Sunday's episode was brilliant. I am now wondering if Ritchie is actually Brendan's dad and Meave and Ritchie had an affair years ago.

Spirallingdownwards · 14/05/2025 09:14

Bearing in mind Pierce Brosnan has Irish background it's the most appalling Irish accent and I am wondering if he is attempting a Brad Pitt Inglourious Bastards' style accent.

Good series though. Really enjoyed it but never going to match up to Love/Hate.

Ooh what a theory. I don’t think so tho.

Maeve deserves everything she gets. I dislike her immensely as a character.

I loved Love/Hate and Kin but they were both set in Dublin so very different accents. Pierce is originally from Drogheda which is quite a specific accent I think?

He said he was doing a Co.Kerry accent.
Only problem is the accent he did is not a Kerry accent.
It just sounds really fake.
It’s distracting.
