Just catching up on tonight's episode and OMFG Adrian. 😡I really wanted to throw something at the TV! That smug smile when he knows he's getting to Awhina. He's got abuser written all over him. Love that Tony has fabricated a desire to have kids as a way of escaping from Morena.

Morena’s friends totally created the idea that he wants a baby and that’s why he isn’t interested in her. They told him that she would understand and be reasonable about it (do they even know Morena?!)………. Tony ran with the idea as a get out of jail card. You could almost see the lightbulb go off in his eyes - this is how I escape without her going batshit crazy.

Tony is just a very easy going guy who wants an uncomplicated and fun life. He needs a woman who matches that energy, who isn’t needy and who doesn’t have to be with him 24/7. He doesn’t want any drama, he doesn’t want to argue, he doesn’t want someone with any emotional baggage. And Morena is none of those things. They are so unsuited as a couple, or even friends.

Morena - I struggle to even imagine what her perfect partner looks like. I can’t imagine or describe who would work well with her. I think she needs to seek therapy about her previous relationship and trauma and just needs to be single for a good while.

I feel that Tony doesn’t want to have to make much effort in a relationship, whereas Morena is very intense.

I think Morena is massively hard work and a pain in the arse but yeah, she saw through Tony's lie before it had even left his mouth. He's flakey. I think he'd be a lovely friend but is quite emotionally immature. Terrible pairing all round.

Elliot looked like a deer in headlights. And I loved it 😂 You could see the confusion written all over his face - he just couldn’t understand what she was saying or asking from him at all. I think he is a very two dimensional guy, scratch and there is nothing under the surface. He just can’t understand what opening up and gaining a deeper emotional connection with someone would entail. I doubt he has ever felt love, or empathy. That is why he is so caught up in physical attraction and his check lists of non negotiables.

And yes Veronica is bat shit crazy.

One of my colleagues had a fling with DH’s best mate and this is what she reported back. As much as I never wanted to hear that, I wasn’t at all surprised (as I wouldn’t be with Adrian). His teeth might be box fresh but he’s got the cock rot for sure.

I would love to see Veronica take on Adrian in an argument at a dinner party. He would quiver like a baby against a strong assertive (and bonkers) woman like her. She wouldn’t take any of his bullshitting or DARVO.

Outofthepan I adopted at 49, not a baby but a young child. So, 53 doesn't seem that old to me.

I'm glad that Lauren is showing her true colours, and hope that Clint has the gumption to pull her on it, he certainly seemed surprised.

Veronica is turning into another disappointment. I was hopeful that she'd been put with him because she wouldn't tolerate any BS, and would also provoke some more realistic thinking with regard to his checklist. Tonight I actually felt sorry for him. I do believe that he returned, probably after getting a lot of stick over his first marriage and what went down, to actually try and take something from the experiment. It's sad to think that someone damaged in such a way shared in his letter and was slated for it. Whilst I can understand to some degree that he could have been more informative, I think that she was looking for trouble after speaking to unlovely Lauren, and that had a detrimental effect on how she received it, which is a real shame. It's hardly going to encourage the guy to open up further, and as unrealistic as he was with Lauren, I do think that's a shame. I hope that she realises her mistake and is not really the unrealistic loon she presented as tonight, after such a great start.

It’s not an illness HE has though? It’s an illness his Sister has. So she was sort of right to question how much the story was actually about him.
