New Nordic Noir starts tonight, this time set in Finland. More4 9pm

I was attracted to this as the short review I saw said it was refreshing as the police concerned were just ordinary people without issues etc!!

But the short synopsis on the More4 web site implies this might not be the case.

I've taped but not yet watched, but realised this is in fact series 2!

I have not memory of a series 1.

I dipped into this tonight, and I was the same; had I seen the first series or not? When I had a look at S1, I remembered a couple of scenes in the pre-credit sequence, so started on the short, two-part second series. I hadn't seen that.

I made the mistake of thinking I would watch series 1 first.

But was so fed up with women being slaughtered, etc., and other cliches I just lost interest.

So might just start with 2 and see if it is better.
