Whoop. It’s Back
Almost three years since season two aired, Gangs of London is finally returning to our screens for a third season.
Fans of the show will get to see former undercover cop, Elliot Carter (Sope Dìrísù), take on his new role as a top-level criminal after infiltrating the powerful Wallace family's criminal organisation.
The drama first aired in 2020 and kicked off with a literal bang as the head of London's most influential crime family, Finn Wallace (Colm Meaney), was killed.
Finn's death caused major chaos in London as international gangs went to war over control in the city.
With rivals everywhere, Sean Wallace (Joe Cole) along with the help of the Dumani family headed by Ed Dumani (Lucian Msamati), took on the role of his father. But it sounds like a lot has changed for season 3...
Picking up just a few months after season 2 ended, it seems Elliott is now at the top of the game and has taken over the position previously owned by Sean as King of London.
So, how did Elliott become the new boss? Where is Sean? And more importantly when does the third season of Gangs of London start?
Read on for everything you need to know about Gangs of London season 3, including the start date, cast, latest news and how to watch.
Season 3 kicks off just a few months after season two ended, with Elliott now embroiled into a life of crime.
Once an undercover police officer, he has now taken over the title of King of London working in partnership with the Dumani family.
However, when a batch of his cocaine is spiked leading to multiple deaths, war breaks out in London once again.
And when Elliot is confronted with a blast from the past, he must turn to the now incarcerated Sean for help.
The official synopsis reads: "Former undercover cop turned gangster Elliot navigates his new role as a top-level criminal alongside the Dumanis, but the spiking throws their operations into disarray.
"The Wallaces, Luan, Lale, and the street gangs face devastating consequences as personal vendettas collide with professional power struggles bleeding into violent turf wars.
"In the ruthless fight for control of London's criminal underworld, no one is safe. This was no accident — it was a calculated attack. But who's pulling the strings?"
Season 2 ended wit the revelation that Lale (Narges Rashidi) is still alive and appears to be entering into an alliance with Pakistani kingpin Asif Afridi (Asif Raza Mir).
They both have their sights set on reclaiming power in London's underworld, which sounds like it could cause tension in season 3 as previously teased.
