The new six-part season will focus on three murder mysteries, with Samantha Bond, Jo Martin (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/marlow-murder-club-jo-martin-season-2-chance-newsupdate/), Cara Horgan and Natalie Dew all back in their roles.

on wed 8&9pm for 3weeks

Meanwhile, Thorogood, who has adapted the show from his own best-selling novels, is joined by new writers Lucia Haynes and Julia Gilbert for this season, who have crafted new stories for the later episodes.

The second season of The Marlow Murder Club will see author Robert Thorogood join forces with writers Lucia Haynes (Annika, Vera) and Julia Gilbert (Midsomer Murders, Ridley) on writing duties for the new episodes.

Haynes and Gilbert will each pen a murder mystery that spans two episodes, meaning that there will be three main cases in the new season.

The first two episodes of season 2 will be an adaptation of Thorogood's second novel, Death Comes to Marlow, but the other episodes in the season will be brand new stories.

The official synopsis for season 2 reads: "Life in the idyllic town of Marlow has just about returned to normal after the triple murder that rocked the community.

"But it’s not long before retired archaeologist Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), Vicar’s wife, Becks Starling (Cara Horgan), and dog-walker, Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) are called back into action, when a series of new unsettling crimes befall the local residents.

"From a seemingly impossible murder inside the locked study of a sweeping mansion

to the mysterious case of a man murdered in the middle of a sleepy cul-de-sac with no connection to the town

and an unexpectedly brutal accident at the prestigious Marlow sailing club that quickly reveals itself to be something more sinister, there’s no rest for our sleuthing trio.

"Navigating the delicate balance of Marlow society – from local aristocracy to the workers at the local boatyard, the pubs and cafes of the high street to a newly established archaeological dig – Judith, Becks and Suzie dig into all corners of Marlow life as they assist DCI Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew) in her official investigations."

As for who will be returning for a second instalment of The Marlow Murder Club, all the leading ladies will be back for more crime-solving action.

Samantha Bond, Jo Martin and Cara Horgan will all reprise their roles as Judith, Suzie and Becks, while Natalie Dew will also return as DCI Tanika Malik.

Meanwhile, a number of other stars including Phill Langhorne and Holli Dempsey are also expected to be back, and a whole new group of guest stars are also joining the show (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/marlow-murder-club-season-2-cast-newsupdate/), including Nina Sosanya, Samantha Womack, Hugh Quarshie and Patrick Robinson.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2025 20:22

Blind neighbours or one of them did it esp if bled out in minutes

I was going to binge watch, but stopped myself. So everyone has caught up to me now. Because I can’t help myself.
I watched the first 4 episodes the same day.
I’m impressed when people pace themselves.

RafaistheKingofClay · 26/03/2025 21:47

I’m guessing the posh bird was the daughter in France.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2025 22:47

So she pushed him and stabbed him and no one saw

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/03/2025 18:31

That’s a point. Everyone had to be at home otherwise they would have seen him lying in the middle of the road when they came back. So she saw him, ran out and then stabbed him in broad daylight and moved all his things into the wood, covered in blood while nobody noticed.

JumpingPumpkin · 27/03/2025 19:14

Thanks for the heads up, it’s my hometown so mainly watch to see the familiar locations. And I am a bit of a gentle murder mystery addict.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/03/2025 19:17

My grandparents lived in Marlow. I wasn’t aware it had so many nice gentle murders. 😂
