She was doubting herself because Tim was gaslighting her. She knew he was the one being a twat, but he twisted it on her so much she started to think she was at fault. She’s already said she doesn’t have much relationship experience, so he’s used that to flip the script on her and make himself look like the injured party. Classic bit of DARVO.

So I’m guessing the ixperts will want to ensure she knows she did nothing wrong.

She's been dealt a fucker of a hand. The least she can get out of it is a stay in a Sydney hotel for a couple of days and a therapy session/ hear people slagging off Tim!

Agree re. Morena. She'd be great with someone shinier than Tony. He just wants someone that looks nice but demands little of him.

I think she is of maori heritage. So he identified it correctly but was racist in what he said. He was awful in that task, and while Ashleigh claimed to feel bad by spilling the beans she shouldn't.

I think he must be half Aboriginal. Aboriginals have a similar accent to him.

I kinda felt sorry for him at the start as he is gormless looking. I definitely didn't think she'd fancy him. For a grubby , plain dude he's quite cocky and arrogant.

Adrian is Greek Australian. He has a typical Western Sydney accent combined with a bad case of the mumbles.

I live in a fairly ND household and do try not to walk around diagnosing people but the radar is pinging like crazy. Jake has zero emotional regulation, RyRy is telling the truth no matter what, Jacqui has a very fixed set of ideas and comments to make, Adrian has his moments but I think is more likely just a plank.

And I feel bad that Katie is coming across desperate to anyone for staying. The producers will have made her stay through to the commitment ceremony. I assume Tim will appear, under threat of suing, and they want that couch scene. Frankly so do I. I hope they’re scraping him up with a shovel at the end.

Why, because he wouldn’t find them attractive?! I appreciate that some of the things he said weren’t particularly flattering, but if there’s one area where people are allowed to have a physical preference surely its in the world of dating? Everyone acting like he said something awful, but why is that so much worse than all the “i only date petite blondes” nonsense?

If you don’t find a certain height/weight/hair colour/facial feature/style attractive then it should be ok to say so.

Jake saying he usually finds caucasian women attractive didn’t strike me as being any worse than Jacqui “Oh he’s not blonde” or anyone else’s physical preferences about height or build. Yes, if he’d been matched with her and decided not to give it a go because she’s not his usual racial type it would have been shitty and racist. But the ranking task is about physical attraction. It’s not like he said anything disparaging about Awhina’s heritage, just that she wasn’t someone he’d find attractive.

If Adrian couldn't write the letter he should have been helped, e.g. a scribe/computer programme speech to text or whatever. Just not doing it looked lazy. The producers would have known from the start of this were the case. How could he read his contract and sign it of he couldn't read and write.

The producers do have a duty of care. They have failed Katie and I would say anyone with a child should also be especially protected from time wasters, so where is the duty of care!

Yep my Dad is Australian and you give them a very wide berth, I thought it was just the boomer ones but maybe not.
Growing up partly in Perth, I used to really notice the difference between Brits and Aussie men. You catch a British man looking at you and he’ll look away, most Aussie men I encountered, love the fact you notice and will continue an exaggerated ‘look you up and down’ like they have the right.
It’s no wonder Billy stands out as a respectful man on this show
