Just seen a clip of Djok walking away from the net after beating Dimitrov. Miming using his racket as if it was a violin and smiling. Presumably meaning "played him like a fiddle". Anyway, I found it very annoying. Saw it live at the time as well. He just can't help himself from being dickish can he?

Anyway, here's Cash & Glasspool in the doubles final. Can't really watch tho as I have to give semblance to me having a life.

The violin thing is something he's been doing since last summer - it's apparently in tribute to his daughter Tara, who plays. But I don't like it - looks really cringy, and does look like he's making some sort of dig at his opponent.

Yeah I don’t believe that the violin is a tribute to Tara. It’s just plain nasty.

No, for someone who gets offended by other players 'tributes' (Shelton's phone celebration, and Rune's fans chanting his own name at him) - the violin thing just seems odd as a celebration.
playing a tiny violin is used all over as a insult, and as tobee says, being 'played liked a fiddle' is a thing- and there is probably an equivalent idiom in Serbian.

Looks like the women's doubles was suspended due to rain, so the men's final will be delayed. I hope this has more of an effect on Djok than Jakub.

It looks as if the men’s final won’t start until about 11pm UK time now - I didn’t really want to watch it anyway (unless it looked as if Djok was going to lose)

Great result!! I'm not a huge fan of Mensik but very happy to see that this morning I thought he may have more of a chance than Fritz. Djok hasn't really got into the heads of the young players yet, unlike those who've been playing, and losing to, him for a few years.

kazza no, it's always the players he hasn't faced before that he struggles against- because they have nothing to lose. He relies too much on them falling apart against him.

The other good thing is he is stuck on 99 tournament wins- and that will be really irritating him. petty, moi?

I've just got in from walking the dog, and it's replaying on Sky (will probably be on all day ). It's at 4-5 in the second set. Jakub has a big serve- and Djok is usually pretty good against big servers, so no surprise it was 2 tie breaks really.

The aerial shot of the court shows how odd the seating is- on one side, I don't see how the spectators at the edges can really see very much.

The commentary is annoying me- it's clear they wanted a Djok win- it's all about how knackered he is, and will he last the distance if he get to a 3rd set.

Wonder how much of that is because Murray is his coach?

It’s weird to me that the commentators would rather see another win for the guy who has already won everything, than to see a young player get his first big title.

I’m not a fan of the Miami tournament set up Raahh, especially after Indian Wells which is so picturesque. That temporary seating in the middle of a football stadium seems awkward. And the weather often seems quite bad, especially considering Americans move to Florida for the weather.

Ice- no, I can't understand it. Really they should be embracing the fact there are some really good new players emerging, and the sport isn't stagnating. Instead, they to want Djok to keep adding to his records.

(I am, of course, a hypocrite, and would happily have seen Rafa win everything - that's different ).
