Just finished watching the little docu series on Disney plus. And my main question is….why the hell is the father not prosecuted too?

He saw how rough and ambitious she was when they lived together. How awful Jodi was and then when he moved out, he had the audacity to ignore his kids for over a year. He even at point says, he would pick her over his kids everytime. And when it’s all said he still says how much he loves her?!

Yes I thought the same. He was a weak excuse for a man and father in my opinion.

Yes I still don’t understand totally how he went no contact for a year ?
They don’t really cover WHY ?
Also didn’t really cover where the eldest son lives when he gets thrown out.
And why didn’t the father keep in touch with Chad if they both left ?
So many unanswered questions in this.
The poor kids , the mental trauma they are going to have too.

Also the dad is a total freak for saying that he still loves a child abuser.
I really don’t understand how he can say that and not be disgusted with Ruby and hate her forever for her actions .
Absolute inappropriate response to her actions.

He’s always been horrible, I watched them for ages. A spineless man who thinks of himself actually as having a very strong backbone. I think he set the tone and then Ruby followed her husband and eventually overtook him with how extreme she was. I guess he didn’t do any physical abuse etc that can be proved - I get the impression Shari and Chad would have nothing to do with him if he truly was as bad as Ruby. Unless he’s brainwashed them.

So much brainwashing going on , such a shame .
Yes the father had no backbone and it’s still not explained why he had no contact
What normal man just moves out then goes no contact ( unless a bitter break up or fighting etc ) but there was none of that , the documentary skirted over why he left , just because his wife told him to ? How weird.
He should never be given custody of those kids.
I read that he’s applied for their custody but really hope that doesn’t happen.

I thin it is unfair to say he set the tone. He is completely spineless but Ruby was absolutely the one in control and ultimately she is the one that physically abused the children. I wish people would stop trying to make excuses for evil women and their behaviour. He is a total spineless coward but unfortunately you can’t be prosecuted for that.

Ruby likely abused Kevin too but yes, he's absolutely complicit in the abuse up to the point that he left, and he must have watched the videos and seen what she was doing to them. However she is the sadistic hideous bitch who abused 6 children for years and years.

I don’t believe he set the tone. It was obvious she wanted to do it, so he did. He was a bit of a wet blanket when it came to sticking up for the kids when they said no and she wanted to film. But moving out, going no contact with his kids, and after all that still saying he loves her?! Pathetic

I'd not heard of the family before watching this, but it was fucking horrendous & the dad a useless waste of space. Chad & Shari seem haunted (unsurprisingly) - do they have a relationship with each other & other family members?

I hope all the DCs find peace & happiness.

How utterly self important are these people who think out of 8 billion people on earth God chose them. Delusional.

The Dad would have totally been part of the abuse I think if he hadn’t left. She would have convinced him it was “gods will”. They were all utterly brain washed. Even the son who had no contact for a year thought the “prison would crumble away and god would appear” or something like that. Not hard to see how Trump got into power in the US with these kind of people.
