Cassie's walking around with her tail between her legs, as Ken rumbled her nasty little game. Tracey saw through her but few others did, and Cassie's attempts to fool Tracey were lame. Hope still wants to be friends with her nan, but no-one wants Cassie around. She wants some love and friendship and support, but there's really very little to be found.

David wants someone to kill him so his family will be looked after. He wants someone to hit him with a car, these storylines are getting dafter! Kevin's got cancer it appears to be spreading, which is really quite worrying and sad. Rosie and Sophie haven't made an appearance yet, are they not worried about their dad?

Carla had her brother Rob's kidney, he's in jail for murder, under guard, but the guard is his girlfriend, and not be trusted, so escaping from the hospital wasn't hard. Abi's still struggling after seeing Mason killed, but trying to pull herself together. Her portrait of Kevin was a sight to behold, Debbie thought she'd be laughing forever.

Carla and Swain are still loved up, and Eileen's sister Julie's shown her face. She says she's got cancer, how awful if she has it too. Seems it's turning up all over the place. Leanne and Toyah's story has quietened down a bit, and the institution's in the past, Daisy's telling Daniel he's the baby daddy but he's not, I wonder how long the lie will last.

Jenny's about to be kicked off the deeds, at the Rovers against her wishes. Daniel's bailing her and Daisy out, and wants to make Daisy his missus. Max got a chunk of time in jail for setting fire to his house. And Dylan's incarcerated for possessing a knife, but is keeping as quiet as a mouse.

The Baileys have dwindled, and DeeDee where is she? Ronnie's still about, and easy on the eyes is he! I've probably missed something important I expect, and I'm sorry if I've missed something out. It's hard to remember everything and everyone, and make sure you don't miss nowt!

Yes I wonder if Will Mellor is getting any sort of pay for being such a big character that nobody sees 😂

I doubt a 'mention fee" is in the budget 😀 but stranger things happen in the twilight world of soap. I know one thing though. Whatever the writers are paid it's too much. 🙄

SabreIsMyFave · 06/03/2025 10:07

Yeah, the whole hit and run scene was quite poorly done, Daisy dropping her bag(s) was odd, and why WAS she so injured when she didn't appear to be hit?

I wish the whole Daniel/Daisy/Kit storyline would die a death too!

I was quietly amused by Kit's reaction yesterday, he obviously has no time for Daisy's drama or Daniel's self righteousness.

Nick giving chase was hilarious.

He is meant to be a keen runner but he looked like Basil Fawlty

GrandTheftWalrus · 06/03/2025 11:30

I'm just watching last night's as I kept falling asleep. I knew this was happening but want to see it.

Ministry of silly runs. 🏃🤪

Daniel is an arse. He was never interested in Daisy, just the baby. I know Daisy shouldn't have lied but Daniel has been awful to both Bethany and Daisy.

It wasn't completely of Daisy's making though

luckylavender · 06/03/2025 11:40

SabreIsMyFave · 05/03/2025 23:33

I think we all knew David wasn't going to die. He's one of the biggest, most popular characters. Bit of a mad storyline really!

So Kit knows he is the baby daddy now does he? I wonder how Daniel knew? I don't know if I missed something... Or did Daniel just know all along...?

Handy that Asha the paramedic was right there next to David when that car hit him! AND it was handy that Toyah 'The Counsellor' was on hand! Sarah's wispy little voice is really starting to grinds my gears!!! 😆

I wonder if Daisy will lose the baby?! 😱

The 'family' monologue. Cheesy! 🧀

Asha wasn't there. Sarah went to find her

I googled and read it was around £80,000 in the hold-all. So enough for a sizeable deposit and a small mortgage on the house.

It was supposed to be 10k. Then Harvey said there was interest and it was 15k. Then it went back down to 10k again 🤷‍♀️

CellophaneFlower · 06/03/2025 12:13

MonickerMonica · 06/03/2025 09:08

So David wants to sacrifice himself in order to pay Harvey via his life insurance. I thought a proven suicide death invalidated a pay out. Nick and Sarah would keep dumb about what they know though re the letter from David and the hit man's chat with Nick. If I'm wrong so be it. 🙄

I still think David actor did well in the run up to the hit and the car driver bloke looked like he might back out of the deal but agree with several other comments that a large pile of 💩 was splattered on those scripts.

I thought exactly this. David knew about the suicide thing as he told Andy it couldn't look like that. So why on earth did he write a suicide note? I'd have understood if he'd written in it to destroy the letter and not mention it but he didn't and that would also be an awful thing to tell Shona. If Nick hadn't caught Andy, he'd never have known to keep it quiet. I also didn't think David sounded weird when he spoke to Max, certainly not weird enough for him to alert Shona. If anything, Max was the one that sounded suicidal.

Also, as somebody else said, why on earth would he do it so close to home? Poor writing. But I did like the way it was filmed with his speaking, very poignant.

PrincessScarlett · 06/03/2025 09:14

David did try to push Daisy out the way but she was still hit by the car.

Daisy has burnt her bridges with Jenny and Daniel now and if there is no baby anymore then she doesn't need to stay around and force a relationship with Kit.

Still really pissed off with flip flopping Daniel who one minute is marrying Bethany, she dumps him and he is then saying it was always Daisy. He has practically forced himself back into Daisy's life as soon as he thought the baby was his, he's railroaded Daisy into making decisions and told Bertie about the baby despite Daisy telling him no. Hope he doesn't get all holier than thou and act like soon kind of poor victim.

I think Jenny has been awful to Daisy of late. She practically begged Daisy to lie to Daniel, then was awful about her to Kit when she was drunk. Think it should be that jenny's burnt her bridges with Daisy.

She has been weirdly ungrateful and petulant

Yes, it's almost as if they've switched roles and Jenny is the selfish stepdaughter 🙄 Even Jenny trying it on with Kit was like she was trying to get one over on her 🤷‍♀️

CellophaneFlower · 06/03/2025 13:01

And just to add, I have no idea why she expected Daniel to buy the pub and let her stay on the deeds? As if!

Microbantime · 06/03/2025 13:26

I take my comment back having just rewatched the car scene. Daisy is indeed clipped by the car, just as David is thrown over it.

Looks like it is going to die a death. It would be the best solution for Daisy. Daniel is a selfish person. It’s ok when he sleeps with Daisy (after drunk driving and hitting Shona) - he can lie about all that to Bethany, get engaged to her and parade that in front of a devastated Daisy, then when the truth comes out and Bethany leaves him, he’s suddenly all over Daisy again. Yet when it comes out that she lied he’s looking down his nose at her like he’s morally better!

David’s not going to die, is he? I’d got my hopes up. But hopefully with these suicide messages and the thugs DNA all over the car they’ll all end up in Prisoner cell block H and can get bumped off by Harvey in there!

Shellingbynight · 06/03/2025 16:07

That was a seriously weird episode.

It would have made sense if David died, but he didn’t. Even if he dies tomorrow, the (constantly repeated) ominous statements “I know I am dying today at 2pm” were rubbish. If it had genuinely been David’s death episode and he’d died on the cobbles, then it could have worked, but he didn’t. As @zanahoria says, overblown twaddle.

And Daisy… nope, couldn’t care less about that merry-go-round. I just hope it's over.

Would Corrie ever fire Jack? Nope. Would Jack quit? Unlikely. So the Harvey’s money storyline rumbles on interminably. That fatal ingrown toenail can't come soon enough!😆

I reckon that's why they made him "die" then be brought back. It always amazes me how often people are revived via CPR in soaps as I actually don't think it's that common. Didn't Toyah even have to be brought back after the fire?

I'm not sure why Asha felt the need to drop in that they'd lost him at that point either... then she was far too positive that he'd be fine. Clearly she skipped the section in the paramedic handbook about appropriate ways to deal with patient's loved ones. Perhaps that's why she qualified so quickly. Hopefully she skipped the toenail chapter as well 😂

CellophaneFlower · 06/03/2025 16:20

Also I found it bizarre how he kept repeating "that's the only one that matters, the one you make." At first he said it when he said bye to lily and I thought he must mean as in Lily was his actual child. I was like wtf? Why on earth would he say that? It then transpired he didn't mean that but was odd why they did it like that.

Oh is she? I may try to rewatch. I have ITVX premium, so can FF it to that bit, without having to tolerate 37 minutes of ad breaks!

Yes it was so weird the way they went with that phrase and endlessly repeated it. It was obviously supposed to apply to the Platts and Daisy but a very odd way to phrase it.

And I agree re Asha needing some retraining😆

Surely if David wanted people to think it was an accident so Shona could claim the life insurance he wouldn't have been leaving notes and voicemails.

AmusedMaker · 07/03/2025 07:02

Lorrymum · 06/03/2025 08:30

It's so strange that we never actually see Harvey. He apparently gives out these orders and runs his empire of thugs from a prison cell we never actually see!

It’s probably their way of saving money - build a massive storyline around someone that’s never on screen so we don’t have to pay them.
