Nate’s departure was utter rubbish no build up and poof he was gone …Moira kissed him not Nate trying to kiss Moira and she was unwell it was a non event! Then he had a job elsewhere and just left …it was very random…

The reason we all suspect John is that when Nate 'left' he didn't say goodbye to his daughter Frankie who he absolutely doted on. He didn't say goodbye to anyone, not his dad, his best mate, noone. John said something about Nate wanting to get away without a fuss and he'd been the last person to speak to him when Tracey started asking questions about why he just upped and left. John was also extremely cagey about anyone going near his camper van.

I just watched it back on itvx and Aaron tells John that he (Aaron) ☹️ should be the one to clean up and John asks him if he’s done it before to which Aaron asks if John has? John replies “In the army, you get used to seeing dead bodies”
Not quite as damning as I remember.

That's brilliant recall. I remember him saying he was leaving then suddenly he's gone but nothing about John saying he was the last person he spoke to, although I remember him being very cagey about anyone near his van, yes.

I rewatched the 9th September episode and Nate definitely said goodbye to Frankie, Cain attacked him at Tracey’s house and she ended things with him after Moira kissed him but he returned later to see them before going to the farm where he saw John, I didn’t notice anything suspicious about his interaction with John either 🤔

I thought I remembered Nate saying goodbye to Frankie.

I wonder how many of the recent departees (Wendy, Leyla, Suzy and Amy) actually wanted to leave - I think I read somewhere that Leyla did but not sure about the others.

It must be galling when you're doing your best as an actor but you're written out and there are some who have been there donkeys' years and are pretty useless but seem to be kept on.

Leyla is kind of like a daughter-in-law to Eric. And he and Val fostered Amy when she was younger so she's like a daughter.

Natalie Ann Jamieson had asked them to give Amy some challenging stories and then they killed her off instead There was so much they could have done with her and Matty but they just want to give lip service to having a trans character and not deal with the reality of what that entails. They already knew she was going before they did the adoption story. Matty will probably be stuck in the props cupboard with Victoria, Ryan, etc. and taken out for a few lines every few months now.

I don't think Roxy wanted to go either but they said there was nowhere for Leyla to go as a character which is lazy nonsense.
