This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. Matthew and Mary have a heart to heart through the bedroom door. Mary is worrying that they are making a mistake, but Matthew tells her the truth of how things are between them and they have their little bit of music while he asks for a kiss with his eyes shut not to cast bad luck on them. Ahhh...sweet!!!

Interesting point. I can't recall whether she was engaged or it was more a case of it was expected she would marry whoever it was. Probably Rhu or Magi might know more.

In respect of Lady Mary, I assumed she was supposed to be about 22 in 1912, so she would be about 29 /30 by the time she marries Matthew. I think the 'engagement' with her cousin wasn't publicly acknowledged, more an understanding.
