January flew by in the blink of an eye
Leanne and Steve are getting close
Cassie is drugging Ken day after day
Dose after dose after dose

Abi witnessed Mason's very sad death
She's struggling to keep it together
Carla and Swain are still an item
I wonder if they'll last forever

Bethany and Daisy are always at war
Over Daniel I know what a surprise
Gemma and Chesney are off on a trip
And Nick and Toyah are making us roll our eyes

Kevin may have cancer that's all that he needs
But Tim and Sally seem sound
Amy seems troubled I hope she's OK
And with Leanne and Tracey, mischief is abound

David and Shona are always on their toes
Scared of Harvey's heavies coming at them
Eva has left, will a few more will leave soon?
Will things be quite different by the next full moon?

All the old regulars don't appear much these days
Or any funny storylines or good feeling
It's just like The Bill with all convicts and thugs
And crime and violence that just leaves us reeling

Daisy is pregnant but who's the daddy
She doesn't seem to want to know
I wonder if we'll ever know or she'll keep it a secret
Now that she's decided she is going to keep it!

DeeDee's still pregnant I think but she's gone quiet
Lauren's been cleared of her 'crime.'
Debbie's still sassy, and Ronnie's still sexy
And Kit is in Corrie all the time!

It looked like a gymnastics move.

Adam Barlow had similar fall when Lydia shoved him over a balcony

NCTDN · 17/02/2025 22:17

That's interesting readingShockShock How desperate are these women?

Getupat8amnow · 17/02/2025 22:38

I have stopped watching now. It is beyond saving now. I will stay on these threads though

zanahoria · 17/02/2025 22:46

I hope Rob lives just because I am fed up with people dying

But please just send him back to prison and forget about him

Lorrymum · 17/02/2025 23:14

I avent laughed so much for ages. Rob seemed to throw himself down the stairs, run back and then chuck himself over the bannister.
I think David walked through the front door of the flat at least 4 times. The new neighbours who seem to be throwbacks to the 80s. Do men in their 30s really call women birds nowadays?
It's just a horrible, badly written mess.

zanahoria · 17/02/2025 23:34

The best part was Carla explaining to Rob just how ridiculous his plan was

David is constantly in and out that front door! I think the new couple are the new battersbys.

Bobby is the strangest throwback

Even though he is over thirty years younger than me, he seems like the sort of middle aged bloke I remember from the seventies.

I could absolutely see him as a contestant on Bullseye

CellophaneFlower · 18/02/2025 00:03

The fall was hilarious. He swung himself over like I used to do on those bars at the park. And why was Lisa like "what have you done?". He's just beaten the shit out of her and done God knows what to Carla for all she knows. Is her first thought really going to be "oh this is awful, you're clearly going down for this... nobody is ever going to think this is self defence" 🤦‍♀️

Yes, exactly that

GrandTheftWalrus · 18/02/2025 01:02

I said to DH there is something dodgy about that couple and the argument seemed very very fake.

AmusedMaker · 18/02/2025 07:26

Forget Coronation Street turning into The Bill, I’ve seen better, more believable plots on Scooby -Doo.

MoonWoman69 · 18/02/2025 08:19

Swain knew Carla was there because she'd made Rob take her there before she was going to transfer the money over to him.
But to be honest, the amount of effort he put into beating her up, I thought she'd have been dead! Amazing that she managed to run into the building without a scratch on her!
I agree, it's all getting too ridiculous now. I can see the writers drumming their fingers on the table, then coming up with the most ridiculous storylines ever to justify their wages! Because they seem to have absolutely no clue what they're doing! The whole kidney transplant thing has clearly not even been researched!
As for Gemmas new "bezzie mate" and her bloke, one word, hideous! The sooner they're gone the better and they can take Gemma and Ches with them! But I can see this weird plan they have being drawn out until Christmas, the way the plot on the rest of it has been going!
Chesneys money has gone on paying van man his damages hasn't it?
I'm completely baffled that the actors are still putting up with this rubbish writing. If I was in the cast I'd be constantly searching for another job! But I suppose it's an easy gig for them, turn up, do as you're directed, go home and get your salary.
It used to be quite the thing to be in Coronation Street, now it's an embarrassment!

Shellingbynight · 18/02/2025 08:27

Yes Ches's money went in damages to van man.

The new family certainly have a Battersby tang to them.

It is very sad what has happened to Corrie.

CellophaneFlower · 18/02/2025 08:45

Rob was like a panto villain last night. Not sure if it was the poor writing/his character is supposed to be a bit thick/he's forgotten how to act or a mixture of all 3 🤷‍♀️

Shellingbynight · 18/02/2025 08:51

@CellophaneFlower I haven't even watched yet but I think we can be pretty sure it's the poor writing!😆

His acting seems to consist of that dismissive half laugh and his angry look.

Although at least he looks the part of a charming bad lad, unlike the completely absurd Damon

Oh without a doubt 😂 I do think he was particularly poor though!

Shellingbynight · 18/02/2025 09:06

That's disappointing, he's usually pretty reliable. Oh well another one bites the dust😆

CellophaneFlower · 18/02/2025 09:08

I've just checked and he hasn't actually been in that much... thought I hadn't seen him anywhere else.

zanahoria · 18/02/2025 09:13

I just checked his wikipedia

He was in 'Strippers Versus Werewolves' although that one must have passed me by

MissDeborah · 18/02/2025 09:25

Am I reading this wrong or is van man the new neighbour?
20K damages is a bit steep!
I'm wondering if the new neighbours will have a vendetta against Ches and plan to ruin their lives in revenge? joy
