I’ve watched the first episode. Anyone else up for this?

Jyst started watching the first episode. They’ve ramped up the Scottish-ness - read-headed gamekeeper welcoming them!

They’re a little full of themselves.

Carolyn is difficult to watch, all that gurning. It’s like she’s on coke.

I loved the retort to Zac Efron’s brother :
“I grew up with an actor”
“Not a good one” meow

Agree, Carolyn is difficult to watch.

I like Danielle, but can’t see her surviving until the end unfortunately.

Just started watching this. Found Bob the Drag Queen hilarious but a bit too obvious he was a traitor. I think Danielle is also shooting herself in the foot!

I never watched Rob in other shows but he has apparantly quite the rep for backstabbing and game playing so no suprise he was a traitor.

I do enjoy it but much prefer the UK version of just ordinary people! The US 1st Season was pretty good.

I am not a fan of the US version. Far too much botox and fillers, and that female blonde Traitor has the most horrendous vocal fry. I also dislike that so many of them already know each other as it changes the dynamics totally. Also they are not there to win the money in the same way as the UK contestants are so you kind of wonder what's the point for them.

Alan Cumming totally OTT in his role, I have been around him on a film set in real life and he is not like that at all. Completely hamming it up for the US audience with all the tartan.

Omg Season 2 was so awful 😣 and the traitors were so rubbish and so obvious. I also absolutely hated who won

I love Alan Cummings hamming it up and the way he dresses is a hoot! I haven't taken to any of the contestants yet. It's a shame they don't put ordinary people in there although I guess the survivors/big brother people were not celebs prior to going on those shows. It's a different experience to the Uk one but kudos to Krishell for standing up to weird Tom.

I did like Alan C dressed as the statue of Liberty, not a patch on Clauds though.

I have watched episodes 1 & 2.

Im not sure I can go on. I find Alan Cumming extremely creepy and annoying. What makes Claudia so amazing is she doesn’t EVER make the show about her but she still delivers an absolute blinder for the short time she’s on screen. It’s like Alan made a phone call to someone and said “Yep happy to do another season as long as it can all be about me, I can distract from the contestants and make long lingering creepy smiles and speeches into the camera every 10 seconds”

And don’t get me wrong I think otherwise Alan Cumming is brilliant. I remember his episode of Who Do You Think You Are had me sobbing. But he’s sold out by displaying this camp quote offensive caricature of a Scottish person because Americans think that’s what Scotland has to be like before they can be captured by it. He doesn’t sound like that or dress like that normally, why couldn’t he just be himself?

Yep “Dollaiiiiiiirs”. Whoever said he sounds like someone faking a bad Scottish accent is spot on.

Also why do most of the men look like Neo Nazis?

Yes, I agree. Certain words he over emphases, as if he’s trying to hard. Very cliche Scotland in parts, but actually loving it so far (although haven’t sussed out who’s who yet). Disappointed that the loud mouth guy from the task got killed off, he looked fun (and annoying) and they should have kept him.

The whole thing is cliche Scotland. Including Fergus the assistant guy. But Americans love that sort of thing and it brings us tourists.

And so glad I pushed past my initial reluctance towards this iteration. Am on Ep 3 and it’s thrilling.

They are ferocious at the round table. I’m feeling sorry for a person I have absolutely no reason to care about - just because of the relentless pile on. The UK season was bland by comparison.

Season 2 was awful. Is Season 3 much better?

Was great up to the end of Ep 4.

I'm on Ep 3 and it's good.

I'm watching. Clueless as to who anyone is but loving the fact they are all clearly bonkers and dislikeable. I'm up to episode 5.

Difficult when we’re each watching at a different pace!

I’m about to watch episode 3 - watching one a night if anyone is up for a seperate thread that pace?

I tried watching an earlier series and gave up after a few minutes.

However, having watched Traitors UK for the first time (s3) I’m really enjoying Traitors US s3, because it’s similar and yet so different.

Thought they were coming out once a week?

DD and I have watched the first three episodes so far. I enjoy the US version because it’s so low stakes emotionally, compared to the U.K. one: I don’t care about any of the people, and I can’t imagine they really need the money.
What I really want to know is: does Boston Rob’s baseball cap come off, or is it surgically attached?

I surprised myself by liking someone - and am now very annoyed and mentally stropping off in a huff.

But I’ll probably return to it tomorrow.
