I was getting a bit fed up with joanna lumley before this..but shes absolutely brilliant in it

Didn't she say something about her generation being tougher and not victims of sexual harassment. I might have misremembered. But when her character was talking about not being allowed to flirt and have banter anymore, it did make me think that's probably close to her actual views.

I wasn’t sure this was going to live up to Motherland, but I love it! Just watched the last episode and am now so invested in their SoHa lives, I can’t wait for the next series! 🤞

This grew on me to "SoHa" - so funny

I've watched episode 4 over and over again on IPlayer and am still excited it's on TV tonight! I think it's my favourite 30mins of comedy.

Just found out there is a secret Christmas special for Motherland that is not on player or Netflix, it’s called Last Christmas. Takes place after the final episode.

I thought this had been uploaded to iplayer when all the other episodes went on. I remember it wasnt available to watch anywhere for about 2 years then I saw it pop up on iplayer when Motherland went back on. I think it's just marked as the final episode of series 3 ( unless it's been removed again).

I really enjoyed Amandaland overall. You can tell it’s the same writers as every adult character is well fleshed out. I like that, like Motherland, it’s not about the kids (we didn’t need another unbearable Outnumbered).

I thought Johannes was hilarious - I was expecting him to be married or something but he was just a bit of a dick 😂

I like that, like in Motherland, Amanda has delusions of grandeur but always crashes back down to earth somehow.

Loved the dynamic between JJ and Mal - it’s very original and quite a sweet story of getting on for the sake of the boy they both love.

Siobhan McSweeney - it’s impossible for her to be anything but brilliant. I loved the failing restaurant storyline, it gave a vulnerability to an otherwise tough character. And she had great chemistry with the woman who plays Fi

As much as I love Motherland, it ended at a time before it got bad (season 3 wasn’t excellent) and I didn’t want another Kevin or Julia or Liz. The new characters brought something different but still great
