An t-eilean... is all the best stuff currently set in Scotland?

Between The Traitors, Shetland, Outlander and An t-eilean all the best TV at the moment seems to set in Scotland. (I'd love a series of The Hunted with the first drop in Inverness, but that's another thread). I don't know if its the landscapes, or what, but it just seems to be a cut above a lot of the other TV out there.

I loved the starting episodes of An t-Eilean, the story is great, the scenery beautiful and the gaelic just enough to challenge what I learned as a child. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

This didn't even clock with me as current! But you're right. If we add the historic stuff into the mix, then my title should read as "is all the best stuff set in Scotland".

Monarch of the Glen, Rebus, Rab. C. Nesbitt....
