Crack on

OP posts:
Fleamaker · 04/02/2025 22:53

Just a thought.
Probably be an unknown, like someone suggested earlier

PrincessScarlett · 04/02/2025 22:59

I wonder if all that alcohol April was necking before her disappearance had an impact?

RaraRachael · 04/02/2025 23:04

Maybe she was raped? Just a thought.

As a PP said, not looking forward to more Marlon misery following this.

honeyrider · 04/02/2025 23:08

She felt the baby move for the first time so that would suggest she got pregnant late last summer, Samson and Josh were both in the show then so that increases the odds of it being Josh's baby.

MintyMintyMinty · 04/02/2025 23:31

They could've done a late night special week like Hollyoaks have done in the past.

I was surprised she was so quiet in the gym toilet nobody noticed.

I thought April was trying to call someone who she'd gone to the city to see but then said they'd blocked her. So I reckon dad will be some dodgy older lad she met online while getting drunk and posting all those videos nobody knew about either.

Definitely in need of some lighter, happy storylines.

JewelleryCat · 04/02/2025 23:34

I forgot she did those videos and getting drunk too

JaneJeffer · 04/02/2025 23:57

I wonder why it was on at 7 the last couple of days? There was no football afterwards.

HollyBerryz · 05/02/2025 00:16

TheFormidableMrsC · 04/02/2025 22:20

@Middlemarch123 Yes! She had April's purse didn't she? She must have got it back before being stabbed.

Who was the person April was calling? Somebody from school? I imagine that'll be the father.

Agree @PrincessScarlett far too much for 7 pm.

She mentioned someone called Avery?

JaneJeffer · 05/02/2025 00:23

Singing please Mrs. Avery I've just got to talk to her now Grin

HollyBerryz · 05/02/2025 00:24

I'm guessing April's baby must have been quote prem. When she first ran away she was still having morning sickness, then she felt it move for the first time, then gave birth, all within 5/6 weeks? So she was probably only 16-20 wks pregnant and not 40.

DaisyStarburst · 05/02/2025 05:46

Was Heath still alive when she would have got pregnant?

Dontcallmescarface · 05/02/2025 06:21

PrincessScarlett · 04/02/2025 21:53

Probably. They do like to throw a curve ball in and introduce a back story that noone has seen or heard of before.

Wasn't there a mention of a boyfriend before April went missing when she had been abducted by the illegal boxing organiser. I think Marlon asked April what was bothering her (before he found out what had happened), and April said she had fallen out with a lad. She also rang someone called "Ezra"(?) last night I think.
I'm a bit under the weather at the moment so may have dreamt all that.

Heath has been dead a year as it was the first anniversary recently.

Good point. She did say boy trouble but I thought it was a cover for being kidnapped. Maybe not.

Jitterybugs2 · 05/02/2025 08:05

I’d forgotten about the boy trouble comment. April will have that stick to beat Marlon and Rhona when she comes home, assuming she does come home. She’ll probably accuse them of not listening to her when she tried to tell them.

PrincessScarlett · 05/02/2025 08:09

To be fair to April, it would have been easy to hide her pregnancy as Rhona and Marlon have been so obsessed with baby Ivy and their marriage problems. April and Leo have been ignored for months.

strugglingwithlife · 05/02/2025 08:14

Plus Heath was her uncle

WatchingTVagain · 05/02/2025 08:23

Sorry if I've missed it but did we see/ know who picked her up in the car at the start of the storyline?

The football is on tomorrow and Friday

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 05/02/2025 09:17

Isn't it a big week in Coronation Street?

Wishimaywishimight · 05/02/2025 10:21

I thought it was bloody awful - some new producer wanting to get as many 'issues' into the episode as possible? It's a wonder she wasn't shooting heroin and working in a strip club by the end. April is an ok actress but I don't think she could pull if off, she looks and acts too child-like. The whole premise of her turning to drink and running off was all pretty unbelievable.

Poor Annie Sugden must be spinning in her grave 😅

MonickerMonica · 05/02/2025 10:26

I might be alone here but they seem to put Leo in occasional scenes but he doesn't seem able to speak. He's getting older now and I wonder how aware he is of the whole Emmerdale/television studio situation. I know very young child "actors" are told that in their scenes they should just ignore the dramas and shouting etc. as it's only make believe but sometimes it's not easy to watch.

Yes I know about highlighting disabilities and all that but once in a while there's a hint of exploitation in my view. As for Leo I just want to give him a big hug. 🫤

I have to agree with all of this

I know what you mean. I'm sure he's well looked after though. He uses Makaton on and off screen apparently.

But yes you just want to give him a hug because I think that's all he wants in the storyline.

JewelleryCat · 05/02/2025 11:30

I thought Leo was non verbal and that’s why he doesn’t speak. I do agree with giving Leo a hug though, he definitely needs one
