I feel like it’s gonna be like Traitors Australia season 2, and they will spend the whole series ignoring the obvious traitor

This is very un-mumsnetty of me but I couldn’t give a crap if Alex is trans or not, or his reasons for IVF. He’s a great contestant and whatever he has between his legs has no bearing on that.

Has anyone watched the NZ series at all? The antipodeans always do reality TV very well!

Watching it now. It’s brilliant.

I think I’ll watch it after as I’d get too confused! Have you seen the Oz ones? Series 1 was excellent, series 2 was perhaps the most frustrating TV I’ve ever seen in my life.

Only obvious because we know. Everyone keeps saying what a bad traitor she is but she's lasted ages. Longer than armarni and longer than many traitors in previous years.

I amazed that contestants “pretending” to be something - Welsh, a different job etc - haven’t learnt from the many season of Traitors across the world that only one type of faithful gets to the final - the dumbarses. In Oz season 2 one woman was off the scale, I’d be amazed if she knew her own name, and she did very well! Same with Hannah, Aaron and Meryl in season 1.

They played it so well. I don't get the suggestion of people being related without us knowing. That would be pointless the fun is knowing and seeing all the interactions and how they play it.

Is he a great contestant? He hasn't been shown much. I'm still not sure why he got 2 votes last week!

I think so. He contributes to discussions, he actually bothers to name people, I think he’s quite perceptive too. And perhaps most important to he doesn’t say “myself” “yourself” or the absolute worst “I’m 100% faithful” 🤪

Alex may be biding his time and staying low. Hard to tell as he had so little camera time.

Apparently each year in the UK version there has always been one traitor to reach the midway point without receiving a single vote at the round table. Minah this year, Harry last year, Amanda the year before.

Also, the first traitor banished each year has been a woman whose name begins with A.

The faithfuls may have also realised that there is no real point voting out a traitor as they’ll only get replaced.

I think if I was on it, I'd try and aim for an air of friendliness and benign ever-so-slight bafflement (including if I was a traitor).

I binged on The Traitors Australia S1 (fast fwded tasks). Without giving spoilers, why were the last two episodes so seemingly scripted and acted?

I am going to see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake tonight and mildly annoyed about missing The Traitors! 😀I am addicted.

He was voted for because Anna named him as one of the contestants who'd voted for her, then didn't after her recruitment attempt. Her theory was that this meant they were traitors.

I don't follow her thinking, but that's the reason Alex got two votes.
