I have just sobbed my way through the last 15 mins of The Bridges of Madison County

OMG it is such a powerful, sad story
I read the book first and think that the film did a pretty good job, I sobbed through the end of the book too. I am not normally overly sentimental either, it is just this story that is so poignant and beautifully told.

that's exactly why I didn't watch it this time, too sad.

The first time I saw it I was on holiday in the States with my cousin. I cried so much one of my contact lenses came out and we had to scrabble about on the floor of the cinema to find it!!!!!

Love that film! Especially the scene in the truck [car]. I don't think Clint Eastwood has ever looked older or more haggard... Beautiful scenery too (but i'm biased!)

couldn't watch, read the book, saw the film before... cried lots... would have to be home alone to watch it again....
