So, as they approach their Ruby anniversary where are we? A new set , a few abandoned stories , a killer still at large and a 'who dunnit ' to Cindy with a snow shovel.

Sonia was looking worried and a bit suspicious last night - and the group in the Vic were concerned that he'd dragged her away
But they have to move quite quickly from suspicion of coercive control to kidnapping of sister in law

Kat is suspicious of the story about Bianca. And Jack is suspicious of Reiss's behaviour at the court. Martin is far too wrapped up in The Market to have noticed. They are all quite slow on the uptake!

Sorry to bring up the set again but its really irritating me 😅

It's so clearly a wooden set rather than the feel of real buildings that the old one had, when watching classic eastenders from 2007.

This whole thing has been a mess - maybe the writers can't cope with the pressure

I wonder how much money has been spent on these new castings, bringing back characters for tiny stints, the new set etc that could've best been spent on developing kat and Alfie, sonia with a positive sperm donation story, honey and Billy

Phil will so a great job though with his depression storyline

They are very slow considering there are only two real possibilities and they do not believe Sonia did it.

I think JackandJack needs to lay off with the turtlenecks, they're obviously restricting the blood flow to his brain cells.

JackandJack never seems to do any useful detecting does he, I can't remember any crimes he's solved!

I was watching some old episodes of The Bill , Scott Marsden's character is pretty much the same as JackandJack !

When they did a series of chats to the stars in Lockdown, apparently the writers wanted him to be Jack and Jack

I got Maggie Thatcher vibes from Debbie's mum. She seems quite unpleasant. It's no wonder her daughter ended up with Reiss.

It is a really stupid storyline. It just hasn't worked. I'd rather they kept Reiss in for comedy value rather than him being a socially awkward murderer.

I think they are going to make Kojo the one who hit Cindy too, which really pisses me off. I wonder how the actor who plays him felt about that. Surely the writers wouldn't be that stupid?

One reason the story doesn’t work is Jonny Freeman’s acting. Reiss is annoying but he’s not at all creepy like he should be.

I think it’s unlikely to be Kojo who tried to kill Cindy. The BBC will know it wouldn’t go down well.

I think Jonny F has been really creepy! The scene of him 'praying' for forgiveness for past crimes "and any I may commit in future" - in Dot's house! - was chilling. But the storylining is so preposterous no one could make it work.

Been away for a week so had to binge watch the last 4 episodes.

What a load of bat shittery. When you watch the episodes back to back it really does emphasise how nonsensical it is.

Does no-one on the square remember that Bianca gave Sonia so much grief over using Debbie’s money for IVF and ‘exposed’ her in the Vic. They ended up falling out massively over it. So why hasn’t it occurred to anyone that it therefore wouldn’t make sense for her to kill Debbie for the £££ when she was so opposed to the whole idea.

I now don’t care who hit Cindy. If I have to hear her squeaking “someone is trying to kill me” one more time…

Why does every scene featuring Junior show him running around the square with his earbuds. Does he not work anymore?

Jack and Dee staring wistfully at each other is also boring as hell. I like Nicole though, she’s grown on me.

Phil is making me feel sad:(( You can see him sinking under the weight of depression. I’m glad they’ve got Steve McFadden to do this storyline.

Also, both Reiss and Bianca said there was CCTV footage that she had visited Debbie's care home. I don't remember her doing that. Unless it was when she was following Reiss once?!?

Reiss looks like an angry little guinea-pig when he gets riled , he shows his teeth and curls his top lip back . Not at all scary but unexpected .
Though he did a fair bit of spitty dribble when he was shouting at Bianca .

Just had to comment on the outfit that Elaine was wearing Weds/Thurs episode, she wouldn't have looked out of place in a mosh pit with those boots on !

Yes, there was the one time she followed him. But Debbie was still alive after that visit so Bianca couldn’t have killed her on that occasion. Another plot hole🙄

Yes, Debbie was still alive after Bianca followed Reiss in to the care home one day, and she didn't visit again, but Reiss and Sonia both did.Let's hope it won't drag on like The Six storyline.

Elaine always wears those hideous boots , she must've had them surgically removed for her wedding !
Maybe it's a huge height difference between her and George ?

What makes them look even worse is that she always wears them with these skin tight leather look leggings. Her legs look like golf clubs imho! Why doesn't she just wear a big wedge heel if she needs extra height? They remind of Miss Trunchbull in Matilda.
