Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Penny's altercation with Nicola was funny though. Penny was straight in there with the verbal abuse ! lol
Is she still with Harry or not ?

No. I don't think so.

Shellingbynight · 17/01/2025 08:23

Yes brick throwing is very old school. Doesn't really work now a lot of people have double glazing! Re 'you should have stayed dead', Peet-ah was talking about Cindy being 'dead' for so long and then getting her back, so it could refer to that - he now wishes she had stayed dead.

Anna doesn't seem to be the attacker. She seemed genuine when she asked Gina if she really thought it could be George, and if it was her she would know it wasn't him. She wouldn't be that good at lying.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 17/01/2025 08:34

Yes I thought about double glazing. It was lucky for the mystery thrower that Cindy was at Dot's house and not at Ian's, I'm sure he has double glazing.
The brick didn't seem to be thrown with much oompf. I do think it was peter.
For storyline purposes it nicely closes this weeks suspicion on Lauren, I think someone said next week the suspicion falls to Anna and Gina

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 11:33

I suppose They will find the hidden shovel with blood on it I suppose and try to clean it or hide it!

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 11:46

I do wonder where Cindy will end up living?
She probably won't want to leave and she can't afford to live on her own. Not sure where she stands regards the business / money and so on.
Or Maybe she'll take a break at some stage and come back ( like they do ) and rent one of Jacks places ?
I can still see a George / Cindy hook up , but maybe not for a while yet.
I still think he likes her tbh.

Bunionbabe · 17/01/2025 12:01

I'll bet any 'clues' we see will be red herrings. Anna and G pulling guilty/shifty faces is very hammy acting. This is another whodunnit cliffhanger to keep us hooked. EE has become a never ending melodrama.

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 12:19

It is very dramatic at the moment , but like the Six and Keanu , it'll probably burn itself out eventually and they will move on to the Nicola / Jumpers / Sharon triangle instead.
I can see Nicola ending up in the spooky woods half dead at some stage, she is definitely a bunny boiler and bad news and I recall Steve Owen's ex Saskia meeting a sticky end ( she was the same, possessive and not over him )
Hit by an ashtray!

Shellingbynight · 17/01/2025 13:58

80s - either the shovel or yet another piece of bloodstained clothing😄

I agree at the moment all these clues are red herrings.

Mydoghealsmyheart · 17/01/2025 14:41

My dd thinks that Lauren might have miscarried, hence blood on her hands and it’s caused some kind of psychological breakdown. As a result she is convinced that she’s guilty of attacking Cindy which causes her to further spiral downwards.

the80sweregreat · 16/01/2025 17:11

A few speculations on Facebook over the 'phantom brick thrower' of the old east end!
Juniors wife ( who is meant to be in Dubai )
Something to do with the Foster family who forced Cindy into witness protection.
Bobby

I thought it was the criminal family Cindy informed on too!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/01/2025 16:02

Hmmm if Jack and Jack had gone into the Vic and said to Harry "Me 'n; your Mum in the toilets of your new bar , lets just say we christened every cubicle and your cleaner will deserve a bonus . I think she's over your Dad now"
He'd get a well deserved punch to the face .

But Nicola "Oh yes , on my desk - twice"

Jack and Jack should;ve just said "Dream On, Love " but she'll have CCTV ( the only CCTV in Walford Grin )

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 16:23

70s , Harry's Barn has cctv. It is one of the only clubs that has it and Ruby once doctored it to get Stacey put away.
Although I'd like to think that Nic turned it off at some stage before doing the deed with him!
Who knows ? Lol

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 16:24

We saw Lauren have a scan before Christmas and the baby was fine.
I think she's just projecting because she was the one who turned Cindy over ?
But it's only a guess.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/01/2025 16:50

Lauren will go full on Lady MacBeth All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand
She might have a nightmare with a flashback and kill Pete-Ah as he slumbers next to her .
His solemn face as he burned the scarf ...
Why not bleach it and dump it . Why have a fire ?
The residents of the square are so bloody nosy

Lauren bumps into Anna . "Hey that's my dinner"
Lauren sees the ketchup and steps back in horror
Zak sprints over concerned face - you okay Lauren

Smell of smoke ( acrid acrylic scarf burning smell)
Nobody thinks "Oh is this another fire like in Pete's flat" ?
Nope . No-one notices

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 16:57

70s , if you try to analyze EE too much it will give you a Cindy type migraine.
They all do things that most rational people wouldn't and the plots are thin mostly because they have to stay on the square ( in order to have affairs with each other !)
I agree that the blood on her hands is symbolic of something , maybe the writers have been ' brushing up their Shakespeare ' )

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 17/01/2025 17:05

The plots are so thin though, it's ridiculous

Do we need murder mysteries all the time? Although the panesar mitchell beef would've been great and hasn't been done recently??

Also the Tommy abusing kat storyline??

The writers of this show are all over the place - would be great if it could go into the hands of someone experienced on eastenders and not just watching classic eastenders on UK drama and repeating ideas 🙄

Shellingbynight · 17/01/2025 17:05

lol 70s, January is certainly an odd time to smell the scent of a (scarf) barbeque.

Peet-ah is Lauren's new WhitWhit.

80s I agree re Lauren. She must be 6 months pregnant now and you can see her bump. I think her not remembering what happened is just for the drama. (And still Peet-ah is not worried about her drug taking...)

Ah , no , Cindy's Migraines were an excuse to Ian to go off an shag Junior in the toilets/Beales Eels/ the empty house /any old corner

I think I'll sit quiet with a herbal tea and a paracetamol ( More a Dot Cotton style migrane one of me 'eads ) Grin

burblish · 17/01/2025 17:39

The scarf - did I mishear or did Lauren say Louie gave both her and Peter the same scarf for Christmas? When Peter found and burned it, how did he know where it was, given Lauren didn't seem to know herself? I reckon it was Peter's bloodstained scarf that Lauren found in her drugged-out state. I also think the brick was Peter - his guilty conscience wanting to take the heat off Lauren.

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 17:52

One of me ' eads!
I miss Dot , old school acting with a cigarette on
' I'll have a small sherry if you don't mind ' ..
Nick C was also a legend
' allo ma ' .. a proper baddie.
I agree they need some new talented writers and new storylines, but I refuse to give up on it ( plus you lot make it worth while too!)

Shellingbynight · 17/01/2025 18:03

I loved Dot too. She is much missed. I'm still enjoying EE, definitely the best soap (I still watch Corrie on and off and that makes EE look Shakespearean!)

Re the scarf yes apparently Louie gave it to both of them. I am beginning to think it makes not the slightest difference who did it, because no one will go to jail or even leave the Square.

the80sweregreat · 17/01/2025 18:08

Shelling
Agree , look how DCI Arthur's messed up the Ken fiasco.
Whoever did it won't go anywhere! lol
I read online that Lacey Turner the Stacey actress had her third child this week , so she must be going soon ish ?

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 17/01/2025 18:10

I'll never stop either 🤭, been watching since birth (91) - I've carried on the tradition with dd who used to dance to the theme tune when she was a baby (she's indifferent now but loves the chase)

One thing thats getting to me is the new set. When watching now, the set has a different feel can't explain it, and feels cheaper and woodeny

Whereas when I'd watch before, even though it's a tv show, it definitely felt real

🙈

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 17/01/2025 18:11

Will stacey losing her pitch send her into a mh spiral maybe, and she'll leave for some self care?
