If we enjoyed Ludwig... what next? (Ok for DC 11 & 9)

DH and I aren't big TV watchers at all but in an attempt to wean the DC off their YouTube crap and have a bit more family time we decided to start watching a series together.

We picked Ludwig and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Enough to keep DH and I gripped but tame enough not to distress DD9 and DS11. The DC loved the whodunit element and trying to work out the culprits.

Is there anything else along similar lines that people could recommend? We've got Netflix, Prime and the usual freeview stuff.

Macdonald and Dodds maybe?

We watched Ludwig and enjoyed it very much. The next thing we watched was Castle but my DC a bit older than yours. I don't thing it's massively age-inappropriate for yours but there's at least one murder each episode and some of the corpses are a little gory.

Not sure what your DC would think but The Detectorists is excellent. It’s really difficult to find a crime type series suitable for the whole family, particularly as your DC are young. Young Sheldon is a great series although again not a who done it. Sorry, not very helpful!

Mine love Death in Paradise & the spin-offs.

These all sound interesting, thanks everyone. Will let you know what we try next and what they think of it.

Shakespeare and Hathaway is a cheesy crime show with no blood or gore. It’s a daytime show so should be fine for your kids.
