Kids age 7 & 10 both really into history. I'm after suggestions for family viewing, please! Maybe something with prof Alice Roberts?

I'm guessing you've already consumed Victorian farm series and Edwardian farm?

Blackadder - goes forth is supposed to be very historically accurate. The ending was beautifully done.

Watch out for BlackAdder I - I remember being freaked out by the floating head of Peter Cook as a child! 2, 3 & 4 do have some smutty jokes but they may go over kids’ heads!

My children loved Time Team (I think it's still available somewhere) and the Back in Time for....series. Alice Robert's British programmes are amazing- for some reason she's not so good when she goes abroad. Her life story is also an excellent subject for stealth lecturing about what women can achieve if you have girls!!

No! We've done 'back in time for...' and we tried Blackadder but DC were a bit unimpressed, disappointingly 🙄

They might enjoy Channel 4's "Britain's Most Historic Towns" with Professor Alice Roberts. I did!
