It's annoying I know but I'm looking for intriguing and well made TV series to watch over Yule.

I recently watched Baby Reindeer and loved it. Watched the Menedez brothers one; Monsters and thought it was ok. Am thinking about Kaos and Black Doves.

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime but am obviously open to anything on BBC, ITV etc

Things I love:
The Bear
Better Call Saul
Slow Horses
Man Hunter
True Detective
Sopranos

I'm not interested in stuff like the Gilmore Girls or Emily in Paris. Well written and acted drama, crime or horror is most welcome.

After The Party C4 was exceptional.

Also, have you seen Borgen?

The Americans (Disney). Drama/thriller set in 1980s America - about deep undercover Soviet spies posing as the All-American family running a travel agents. Even their children don't initially know who they really are. It's as much about the emotions and relationships as it is the espionage.

For All Mankind on Apple is one of the best shows of years and i cannot understand why it's not more widely known. Agree with many of the other recs here like the Americans, The Bridge, Mad Men. Also love Halt and catch fire. And there is always time for another rewatch of The West Wing to pretend we live in a world with leaders like Bartlet.

Mr Inbetween on Disney. Outstanding.

I've kind of skirted around that, wasn't sure but will give it a go. Ty

Severance on Apple TV was good - very strange and a bit of a slow burner, but we really enjoyed it.

Blue Lights on iPlayer and Trigger Point on ITV are both good if you like police dramas.

HappyDartsmas · 21/12/2024 00:28

Kin on iplayer
Gangs of London on Netflix
Love/hate on itv x
Say Nothing on Disney
